X-Men '92 #10 Spoilers
Spoilers: In America
2099, Doom 2099 gives the Darkhold to Scott and Jean and send them back to the
present. Meanwhile in the present, Apocalypse tries to convince mutants of the
impending attack of Xodus the Forgotten. Cable doesn’t buy his words and sends
X-Force after Apocalypse. Xavier believes Apocalypse and plead mutants to
protect him. Psylocke readily stops Archangel from hurting En Sabah Nur. The X-Men and X-Factor team up to defeat X-Force. With Cable down,
Apocalypse explains his plan to activate the x-gene in all humans, turning them
into mutants as a way to defeat Xodus. Jean and Scott arrive and share a moment
with their son Cable. Dead Girl suggests using the Darkhold to turn every human
into mutant the same way they turned every vampire into humans. Professor
Xavier sent out a telepathic message to the whole world, inviting humanity to
join the mutants to save the world from Xodus. The answer is yes, so Dead Girl
casts a spell, with Charles's mental support, to turn homo sapiens into homo
superior. It works but at a cost. Professor X is dead. Everyone flies into
battle as Xodus arrives to Earth. The book ends as X-Men ’92 is now called
Earth X.

X-Men '92 #9 Spoilers
Spoilers: The main X-Men, along with Lila Cheney, Abigail Brand, Death's Head and the X-Brood, are rushing back toward Earth aboard their stolen Shi'ar craft when the ship comes across a tear in space... and an enormous hand reaching through it. On Earth: Apocalypse exposits to Cassandra Nova and Joseph about the big hand's owner: back in the day, the M'Kraan race produced the first mutants, which in turn grew into the Celestials. One specific Celestial would come to be known as Xodus the Harvester: a galactic-scale warmonger who purged the mutant races of many a world, fearing that they might one day evolve into some new form of life superior to his Celestial brethren. The other Celestials disagreed with this, and banished him to another dimension. Xodus the Harvester became Xodus the Forgotten. It was inevitable that one day he would return, and Dead Girl unleashing the Montesi program caused the barriers between spaces to weaken enough that 'one day' has been fast-forwarded to 'today'. Apocalypse has known of Xodus for millennia, and claims that every hardship, battle and devastation he's inflicted on the X-Men over the years was done to toughen them up and prepare them for the horror to come. Now he wants to know if Nova and Joseph will join him. Back at Lilapalooza, President Kelly is complaining, until Xodus' form becomes so large as to be visible in the sky. A panicked riot starts, but the Professor is able to telepathically calm everyon as Lila teleports the space crew in. Happy reunions are had before everyone is distracted by Xodus again. Brand seems to know what it is but Kelly prevents her from sharing, blaming a need for secrecy on the X-Brood's presence. Brand is forced to depart to the Peak along with the X-Brood and Death's Head, then Kelly rounds on the Professor. He claims his bad attitude isn't about anti-mutant racism, but the X-Men failing in their role as the world's protectors, since most of the problems they solve stem from their own causes. He would rather trust another - and pulls an ankh-shaped key from his pocket, summoning Apocalypse, along with Nova, Joseph, the Upstarts and the remaining Horsemen (Mystique, Bastion and Exodus). Before Apocalypse can explain, Wolverine attempts to claw him, and a big fight breaks out. In the middle of all this, Apocalypse rounds on the Professor and lets him peek into his mind freely. Xavier sees the truth behind the words, and begs the X-Men to stop fighting and listen. Cable then shows up with X-Force and blasts a five-foot hole through Apocalypse's torso, killing him.

X-Men #8 Spoilers
Spoilers: In Egypt,
Gamesmaster is revealed to be Mystique working under the orders of Apocalypse,
who admits the purpose of their contest was to hone the X-Men into the saviors
mutantkind needs in a war against humans. Meanwhile, Forge scans Lila’s
teleportation energy in order to track the X-Men while X-Factor and the
students fight the concert-goers led by Adam the X-Treme. Elsewhere in another
planet, Gladiator and the Shi’ar Imperial Guard meet the X-Men and warn them
the mutant Brood must be eliminated. Storm sets out to defend the Brood and
order the X-Men to fight the Imperial Guard. While Rogue distracts Gladiator,
Gambit steals the Shi’ar ship. Beats teleports all X-Men to the ship, leaving
the Imperial Guard behind. Back on Earth, X-Factor finally controls the
concert-goes, before being told off by President Kelly. Meanwhile, in Thailand,
Fitzroy and Shinobi Shaw are on vacation. Mangeto’s clone Joseph and Cassandra
Nova have kidnapped the Von Struckers and Fabian Cortez and are now asking Shaw
and Fitzroy the whereabouts of Gamesmaster. Apocalyspe presents himself before
them with Mystique by his side, looking to recruits disciples.

X-Men '92 #7 Spoilers
Spoilers: After the
X-Men and Lila are teleported to another planet, the government dispatches
X-Factor to investigate and manage the angry fans at Lilapalooza. Meanwhile
across the universe, Lila is too burned out to teleport everyone back to Earth
and the X-Men reckon there aren’t anyone or anything near them. Wolverine is
quick enough to sneak upon the Brood and the X-Men engage in a fight. Back at
Westchester, Professor X and some students reunite with X-Factor. Xavier briefs
X-Factor on Fabian Cortez and his motives. Elsewhere, Cortez demands Gamesmaster
give him his prize as he’s defeated the X-Men. Cortez then finds out his cabal
of evil villains knocked out, when a shadowy figure appears and seemingly kills
him. Back to Lilapalooza, Polaris and Rhane investigate Death’s Head spaceship while
some angry concert-goers (Marrow, Adam The X-Treme, Random and Maggott) follow
them looking for a fight. Back to the X-Men, Psylocke senses The Brood are not
really their enemies. One Brood alien with telepathy abilities explains to the
X-Men that they are a different mutant species of Brood who were exiled by the
others for being different. The X-Brood asks X-Men for their help against
hunters who are pursuing them. 300 miles above that planet, Gladiator orders
his minions to destroy every living thing on that planet.

X-Position: Bowers & Sims Bring Apocalypse to X-Men '92
CBR: This week in X-POSITION, “X-Men ’92” writers Chad Bowers and Chris Sims answer your questions about everything from Apocalypse’s arrival to the X-Men of 2099 and more.
Can you tell us a bit more about this secret cabal of mutants who have been conspiring against the X-Men since Alpha Red? When will we learn about their full agenda?
Bowers: The Upstarts. They’re a ruthless group of rich and powerful young mutants brought together by the mysterious Gamesmaster who’s challenged them to destroy the X-Men. Their membership consists of Fabian Cortez, Shinobi Shaw, Trevor Fitzroy, and the Fenris Twins, Andrea and Andreas Von Strucker. They’re each utterly despicable in their own way — the antithesis of what it means to be an X-Man — and they’re hungry to find out who the Gamesmaster’s working for, and win the ultimate prize… despite not really knowing what the prize is. The sad truth is, they’d all probably be trying to kill the X-Men anyway. All the Gamesmaster’s done is just turn it into a competition.
Since you’re writing versions of the characters that are sent in the ’92niverse, is there potential for them to grow and change in unexpected ways? Are there any X-Men right now that you’re writing that you feel growing in a different direction than their 616 counterpart?
Bowers: Mixing in the Gen X kids with the pre-X-Statix cast opens a lot of doors for us to explore some different outcomes, sure. Dead Girl and Chamber seem to be hitting it off, and I can’t recall them ever having a scene together prior to “‘92.” And we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention Doop’s hair.
But all kidding aside, there’s some things coming up that we can only do in “‘92” and with the cast we’ve put together. Already, our team is a team that never existed in the core universe, and that’s just naturally changed the dynamic quite a bit. Bishop and Psylocke are maybe our two most changed X-Men, as their histories already differ quite a bit coming out of the mini-series. Neither have ever been an X-Man before, so we not only get to see them figuring things out in a way we never have before, but they also share an interpersonal connection we’ve never seen them have before, and that’s going to continue to grow over the course of the next couple issues.
Sims: We’ve gotten a lot of questions about Cable, too, after we revealed his all-new (or at least all-’92) origin story in #5. That one was really fun for us to put together, just throwing in all the weird future stuff that we could think of in the far off year of 3992. Clearly, “our” Cable — the guy who shows up in the miniseries leading X-Force and may just be coming back pretty soon – is a little bit different than the main-universe version. But don’t worry, he still has a metal arm, a glowing eye, and a truly gigantic laser gun.

X-Men '92 #6 Spoilers
Spoilers: At the Peak, SWORD’s orbital HQ, Agent Brand witnesses a spacecraft entering Earth space, heading towards Westchester. Meanwhile, on Earth, Lila Cheney is performing at an outdoor festival, while the X-Men are tending to Lila’s security. Back at the mansion, Professor X explains to Jubilee and the students that they will remain at the mansion until he is sure they recovered from Alpha Red’s attack. Back to the festival, the spacecraft arrives and interrupts Lila’s concert. Fabian Cortez, who is backstage in disguise, contacts Gamesmaster and warns him of the unknown spacecraft. Lila reveals there’s a bounty hunter after her, who is revealed to be Death’s Head. The X-Men engage in a fight against him, until Agent Brand teleports and warns him that Lila had petitioned for asylum and should not be removed from Earth. While the X-Men, Brand and Death’s Head are distracted, Fabian Cortez sneaks upon Lila Cheney and overpowers her. With Lila’s powers out of control, she teleports the X-Men, Brand and Death’s Head to an unknown planet, inhabited by the Brood.

X-Position: "X-Men '92's" Bowers & Sims Cut Loose In The Fast-Paced '92niverse
CBR: This week in X-POSITION, "X-Men '92" writers Chad Bowers and Chris Sims answer your questions about everything from Excalibur '92 and the Upstarts' master plan to -- Boyz II Men and Joey Lawrence?!
I've been having a lot of fun with the series and am already looking forward to future arcs. Will there be any more classroom scenes? Is Beast solely in charge of the students' education or will the other X-Men pitch in and teach classes?
Sims: Our basic idea for the school is that Professor X and Beast are the ones primarily responsible for the teaching, while Storm is in charge of the actual superhero team. As we've shown a little bit, though, the other X-Men do rotate through as teachers. I think the only one we've shown primarily so far is Gambit, though, largely because there's not much that's funnier to us than putting Gambit in charge of a bunch of children.
Bowers: Somewhere around here there's a notebook with a breakdown of how the school's organized, and who does what, but I can't put my hands on it right now. But Beast's definitely the point guy on all things educational, with the still injured Professor X doing some focused teaching behind the scenes -- Charles takes a very specific interest in the school's more psionically inclined students in the second arc. And I think we had Bishop teaching a time-travel class, and Psylocke in charge of international studies, but who's got time to teach when all the students have been turned into vampires?
You're bringing Death's Head to "X-Men '92" (woohoo, yes?) but is there any chance of any more Marvel UK characters getting "92"-ised (is that what we're calling it?), like Dark Angel, Black Axe or perhaps most importantly, Psylocke's brother Captain Britain?
Bowers: Hey, Wessex! We definitely have plans for Excalibur '92, and as you might expect, our version of the team ends up looking a bit different from the one you're used to. I love Excalibur, and was a big fan of the '90s Marvel UK books, so yeah, melding those two together is kind of a no-brainer. Excalibur is to the X-Men as the Defenders are to the Avengers -- they're related as much as they're apart, and with that in mind, we've taken that concept to the Nth degree in '92, and I can't wait for you to see what we do!
Bishop and Psylocke seem to be adjusting to the X-Men's way of doing things, but what about the rest of X-Force? What role will they play in future stories?
Sims: Keep reading. If you know me and Chad, you know we can't stay away from Cable for long.

X-Men '92 #4 Spoilers
Spoilers: Outside
Wetchester, Storm unleashes Bishop and Psylocke against Alpha Red’s army of mutant-vampires.
Wolerine’s healing factor kicks in and he turns on Alpha
Red as well. Meanwhile Storm has U-Go Girl teleport the vampire students inside
the Danger Room. Within Cerebro, Beast enlists Dead Girl’s help as her unique
abilities prevent her from turning into a vampire. With the assistance of
Xavier, Dead Girl uses Cerebro to communicate directly with the Darkhold, the
vast database of arcane knowledge that Alpha Red used to modify his vampire
spawn. Rogue and Gambit soon make their way to Cerebro and face Husk and Chamber,
who are protecting Xavier, Beast and Dead Girl. Outside, Jubilee is the first
to burn out as Alpha Red’s bites destroy his victims over time. Alpha Red
almost kills Dracula, but is interrupted by Storm. Xavier then calls Storm and
Beast inside Dead Girl’s mind. The Darkhold program gives her the options to
eliminate all vampires, turn them into humans again. Beast is against it as he
thinks there must be another way, but time is running up. Storm agrees this is
the only way and so Dead Girl choses to eliminate all vampires. All mutants are
turned back to normal, while Dracula and Alpha Red become humans. The dark
rituals Alpha Red was subjected to now kill him, much to Dracula’s anger. The
students rebuild the school, but their victory leaves a bitter taste in Beast’s
mouth as he feels they didn’t have the right to turn vampires into humans, the
same way some people would like to force mutants to turn humans as well.

“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more.
