Knights of X #3 Preview

Knights of X #3
Writer: Tini Howard
Art by: Bob Quinn
Cover by: Yannick Paquette

The Story: The fall of the Knights of X! Gambit and his team gain a momentary victory over the Furies in Crooked Market, but as the group is hit by another wave of attacks by Merlyn's army, Rachel Summer's connection with Captain Britain is severed before she can call in reinforcements. In Sevalith, the Captain and her team face off against blood thirsty vampires as they seek out a lethal potential ally. Their quest required ten knights to begin, but no one said anything about the end. A knight dies here – and the hateful quest goes on.

And Remy do bites the dust. And another one dies and another one joins and Remy do bites the dust.

This preview is weird unless there's context before. They said this is the last on their trail but they were following the vamps?? And Betsy was randomly controlling that one standing still to lure the other one? So confused at Howard's weird choses in writing. Everything is so cumbersome if her scripts were edible it would be like eating a peanut butter sandwich with sawdust

Also why did Betsy need ric to dummon some stupid druid weapon when shatterstar just slices off the head of the other. Instead of waiting for ric to bitcj about needing his sweet beautiful time to summon his garbage powers Betsy could've cut off the vamps head 10 times over. Sorry for the rant just beyond ready for Howard to move onto something else and never write Betsy again.

You use logic tho. Peanut butter and sawdust eh add some mackerel and sour cherry sauce and you're there.

Let it slip cause it's another excuse to see the butterfly Marvel tries to pluck off of Betsy. Unsuccessfully and I love it.

It's been almost 30 issues, if there's one thing Tini is good at is:
1) not knowing how to write powers.
2) not knowing how to write battles.
3) not picking up her own cliffhamgers in the next issue.
4) not knowing how to write an ensemble book wasting all book cast.
5) writing dumb nonsense just to cater to popular X-Twitter accounts, especially that annoying friend of hers who hosts that Cerebrocast podcast.

Don't even get me started on her interviews. Always dodging objective questions and going on and on about that RPG nonsense no one cares about. What the fuck happened to the Starlight Sword? What the fuck is "mutant magic" which she was trying so hard to make it happen and didn't even bother to explain?

@Kiki M. Ishola, but isn't Gambit confirmed as a guest in this year's Hellfire Gala (in fact, the ONLY member of the Knights of X to be confirmed in it so far)?

I'm still far behind in the X-books, so... have the Resurrection Protocols been fixed to allow the proper "resurrection" (a.k.a. cloning) of mutants who die in Otherworld? I know that Wanda apparently improved the protocols (which finally settled the bad blood between her and mutantkind), but I don't know if the improvements she implemented include the proper resurrection of mutants killed in Otherworld.

If they do, that may explain why Gorgon is a candidate to join the X-Men team this year (please correct me if I'm wrong, but he wasn't "resurrected" yet, and it's exactly because he was killed in Otherworld, right?).

@Unknown, I actually did enjoy the last Cerebro podcast about Dr. Reyes. The host and guest were on point with a lot of the conversation this last time. Worth a listen. Your other points, I cannot contest. LOL.

Dr Reyes and Sage are such wasted potential. The reason I include Sage here is because just like whenever a doctor is needed Dr Reyes is dusted off for a page or two. Sage while more consistently appears literally just seven for exposition.

Will writers ever explore Sage as an actual character? There's still so much to explore with both these characters.

@Rahsaan The Cerebrocast host is a menace to us Betsy fans. He actually works with Tini, he's her representative and literary agent. The problem is he is very influent with X-Fans on twitter and he convinces them that Tini's Betsy is the best Betsy has been written since the 80s. Which we all know is bullshit.

Randybear seeing Betsy dragged through mud I'd carry a small basket for Sage and Cecilia who ain't got an X-Men name yet.

Some half assed excuse to bring Remy to life that gets forgotten for the best of our sanity. Gorgon was done kinda dirty coz I like his new attitude.
