I wish Betsy had the look of that CB in the first page thats standing center front. Just lose the helmet, add the belt from her current look and maybe shorten the gloves and it would be perfect IMO

I wonder if the star will be her new psychich signature, as in the starlight sword is now a part of her

Lol I like Betsy and Warren.

Elizabeth and Warren look really good here. To's art is beautiful.

They say starcrossed lovers are beautiful. When these two get together the gates to hell open it's fun.

Kiki M. Ishola said...

Me too in a way. They are damaged to have a healthy relationship but it's sweet to see them be each other's crutch.

Actually that is Brian's costume. She looks good in it. With or without the helmet.

I love Warren and Betsy together because he will never overshadow Betsy. Betsy is the character that should be the star wherever she goes. She doesn't need to be hooking up with anyone thats more grand than herself. I will never understand the Betsy/Saturyne stans it makes zero sense its just pushing fanfic onto the comic.

Warren is best for Betsy because she wears the pants and doesn't need anyone outshining her. She learned that the hard way getting involved with Fantomex and Cluster. They both seriously fucked her over and had such a negative impact on her (Betsy says on panel when she and cluster were a couple all they did was steal and get drunk. Wow what an awesome relationship 🙄)

To really does draw a beautiful Betsy and Warren. I have not read the issue yet, so I cannot say more. But I do like seeing Betsy oustide of uniform and wity her hair out sometimes.

Hoping that we’ll see some interesting developments in her character and power set.

For a time I wanted her away from Warren, but seeing this image makes me think maybe they should get another go since both now have a lot less baggage and have healed from past traumas that were very much present when they were together.

It would be interesting to see how they interact sans trauma bonding.

I prefer her single too. Shes her best when not focused on romance plots. But if she has to be with someone I prefer Warren.

Its inevitable that Tini will pair Betsy with someone (especially with Twitter not shutting up about wanting her to date someone most notably Saturyne)

Betsy is fantastic whatever her relationship status. I agree that she and Neal and she and Wisdom have great, fun, healthy chemistry. Would love to see her interact more with both. Lifeguard was a bore and can stay off-panel, but I liked Neal and would like to see him return.

Warren is the right pairing for Betsy he isn't possesive and judge her actions. He is supportive and knows how to spoil her. The fact alone he was jealous for Betsy flirt with Neal in front of him and react cool shows he has self respect. Unlike her other exes.

Neal popped in the discussion and I insist Marvel signs for a psychotherapy group to realize it's not DC. Psylocke and Thunderbird are no Robin and Kid Flash things to be passed on to new characters. Neal moves fire not electricity to call him Thunderbird and Kwannon seeks Revanche always pun intended.

Saturnyne is so not Betsy's type cause she hates power hungry mobsters who F their way to the top with cheats. Saturnyne is Brian's ex fling and Betsy don't like sloppy seconds on her plate.

I second @Kiki. I enjoyed Warren the most with Betsy, probably the bit of Pete Wisdom I saw with her second. I never liked her and Neal lol.

Now that I think of it, I haven't even seen Neal in any of those splash pages with mostly everyone on Krakoa hanging out. I've seen other obscure characters & hell they're even using Adam X-treme again. It'd be nice to see Neal again. Could see him working in X-Factor.

I've mentioned before that it took Remender's run to get me to care about Warren. I wouldn't mind him popping up but I'm getting tired of the whole is he being controlled by his Archangel persona or not thing?

So if Betsy is in a world where she's the Queen of England possibly, I wonder did that reality have a Betsy that she's replaced? Or is this an entirely new reality that's been made for her?

FSaker said...

It's a relief to know that Betsy is still alive!

But this situation brings me more questions than answers. And I'm not even talking about how she ended up in this alternate reality, but mostly, how much of her went there? I mean, was she fully transported to that reality (that is, mind AND BODY), or was her body really destroyed by Isca and her mind took the body of an alternate self? In the latter case, what happened to the mind/consciousness of the real Queen Elizabeth III?

I hope this isn't yet another story involving body swaps (even if the swapped body is exactly like her original one) just to reinforce her image as a "body thief" or something... And with Jamie and Sinister creating a new Betsy, there's also the danger that there will be a third (fake) Betsy on the loose, besides Kwannon...

FSaker said...

As for the whole discussion about her best pairing, well, a good writer can make any pairing work (just like a bad writer can ruin any pairing). I mean, Leah Williams paired Betsy up with BLOB, out of all people, and the two of them actually ended up looking quite sweet together, so...

The new issue explained what happened in X of Swords. I have gaps to understand everything and wait for the next issues to explain more. I want to know where the real Betsy was sent is it a new dimension or is she in the sword. Saturnyne put Betsy in the trap to get rid of her and restore her crush Brian to Captain Britain. The Betsy corps is funny it has a swan Betsy, a dragon Betsy, a werewolf Betsy, a monkey Betsy and a frog Betsy. Is the frog Betsy like Throg? Does she have a Thor hammer? Betsy and Storm will have more in common if it is true.

Tobias Chatti said...

@FSaker I like Warren he has many in common with Betsy. A couple needs to understand each other to stay happy.

Tobias Chatti said...

@Alex Jonathan Hickman uses Omega Sentinel heavy in his story and Neal is her son. He is somewhere in the world maybe in India and Hickman will use him for the Omega Sentinel chapter.

Tobias Chatti said...

@Kiki M. Ishola Marvel is not DC but name trades happen in difficult times. Wikipedia page for him writes

An Indian pyrokinetic, he has no connection to the previous X-Men characters called Thunderbird. He is a vegan and was originally intended to be called Agni, after the Hindu god of fire.

Something happened and they decided Agni isn't fit. Digimon use Agni to Agnimon so it isn't a religion problem for Marvel.

Her son? I thought she was his fiance or something before she was transformed into a sentinel

Tobias Chatti said...

I made a mistake. Omega Sentinel was a policewoman working for the father of Neal on a mission to find his big brother. Bastion made her a cyborg.

I'm a big fan of Wartsy no it doesn't sound nice. I'm a big fan of Berren. It needs work maybe Betsen. I settle with Warbeth. My heart skipped a beat to watch them be together even in elseworlds. One thing I dislike and I find horrible is the body swap wars history. If I could turn back time the race change race swap wouldn't exist. Keep on keeping with it does harm to Betsy and gives hate fuel for the righteous trolls to fight Betsy. So in my opinion Betsy should never lose her real body ever again.

randybear said...

Ahh gotcha! Not sure where I got the idea they were romantically linked myself lol

FSaker said...

You're not wrong, Neal and Karima did get romantically linked. Problem is, their entire relationship was only shown in a couple of panels (with typical Claremont narration) before they were captured by Bastion; Karima told Neal to escape before her Omega Sentinel protocols were activated, and that's it.

The two of them have never been with the X-Men at the same time, which may explain why they never interacted ever since Karima first met the X-Men. And even if they did, it's unlikely they're still in love with each other by now.

(in retrospect, that X-Men Legacy issue right after Second Coming with Betsy, Karima and Paige in the same team would probably have them all feeling quite awkward at each other... then again, maybe Karima never knew Betsy had a romance with Neal, and maybe Betsy never knew Paige had a romance with Warren - or maybe the three of them are mature enough not to be bothered by that)

I get the feeling they are going to merge Betsy's disembodied spirit with Kwannon. Again. Look at the teaser for Excalibur #19.
