Interesting... I wonder if the story from the main X-Men book (about the trees killing the children in the island) is connected to the Empyre tie-in (about plant people and undead mutants).

Speaking of dead mutants, the Marauders solicitation is odd... if Kitty dies, couldn't she just be brought back to life via Hope's crew like everyone else? Well, at least we finally get to see her in her Red King outfit, and she looks good - why can't she wear it all the time instead of the ancient X-student uniform?

And nice to see Madelyne back! While she's once again a villain, I hope the Hellions can convince her to join the Krakoan community. Maybe she can even join the Logan/Jean/Scott/Emma open relationship. Or start her own open relationship with Alex and Lorna. I mean, unlike Mr. Sinister or Apocalypse, Madelyne was an actual member of the X-Men before Moira and X established the Krakoan community.

@FSaker
Something about Kate's mutation keeps her from not only using the Krakoa portals, something also causes her not to work properly with other Krakoa tech. Hope & the mutants used in the cloning process have to basically funnel their powers through a mix of Krakoa tech for it to work.

It's also been confirmed that there's no 3 way relationship. Forgot whatever interview Hickman mentioned it in but he seem to be a bit annoyed at worst, flummoxed at the least about that theory. He's even gone on to describe Jean & Emma has respecting each other now but not people who go out of the way to be particularly social with each other.

I'm mixed on Maddy. With Jean & Emma being civil now, I kinda feel both she & Emma need someone to cause issues. Mads would be perf. At the same time the Mads/Jean conflict has been done so much that I'd like her to get some peace.

Interesting. But was he referring solely to Emma or to all four mutants? Because in her case it makes sense that she'd be out of the relationship as she lives in Krakoa doing her own thing, but what about Logan? If there's no 3 way relationship, why does he even have a room at the Summers houve - and one connected to Jean's?

Unless he and Jean are in a monogamic relationship. But if that's the case, why does Scott's room algo connect to Jean's?

Oh, and thanks for the explanation about Kate's situation!

Hickman said the rooms so far are just designed like that to show how much of a family they've become. Similar to certain housing on Krakoa. Some characters/teams have the open/connected dorm style communal living. This new era of trust & community for mutants. Others are living by themselves on the Island. While Scott & Jean have been shown together, so far its not even confirmed if they're even a couple again.

@Alex, does Hickman answer tweets? I have a salient inquiry for him regarding Elizabeth Braddock.

@Rahsaan, he does sometimes but he can be pretty vague on certain issues. I think the last time someone asked him about Betsy he told them to read Excalibur & to ask Tini.
