Lin Li accessing her full powers is the best moment in the event. As Nature Girl she controls the six kingdoms of life. Plants checked, Animals checked, Fungi checked, Bacteria checked. Protista and Archaea are next. Marvel did Lin a great service. Her classified as an omega mutant won't surprise me. Jubilee needs to be the next focus as a veteran X-Man.
Lin is cute but the antlers.. I cant. There must be a more creative way to show a physical manifestation of her powers. I cant with the antlers take her seriously
Whenever I see Lin, I think that she would fit well in the Saga comic, which I love, so the antlers I dig. Hell, if I could deal with Callisto being given slimy tentacles by Masque, then antlers are a walk in the park. LOL.
I'm not PETA and wiccan despite that I wished so bad for a mutant with Lin's powers. So dope when writers use her powers cleverly. I know she can be unstoppable by controlling life and lame with antlers without breathing fire, flying and shooting lightning but I adore her. I love weird looking mutants that's why. Skin, Marrow, Glob, Ernst, No-Girl, Graymalkin, Zero a homage to Tetsuo Shima and Maggott are cream of the crop.
I agree I love the weird mutants but shes a cute girl with antlers lol I would have liked to have seen more mutation in her appearance I didnt mean i wanted her to shoot fire or fly etc I'm speaking purely aesthetic. I'm sure she will grow on me at some point this is my first exposure to her. And I'm all for new PoC characters getting panel time.
Nature Girl is recent creation for 2013/2014 comic Wolverine and the X-Men. She can fly don't ask me how I haven't figured out so I forgot. The start was Academy X which had the best new mutants. 00's Marvel creators have rocked new characters with weird powers. One positive thing Morrison's run started was the real school environment Generation X had and new roads to take the X-Men for a walk.
@Kiki, I recall her flying too. I don't remember when or where. And I LOVE the return of the actual school with a student body. Speaking of former students... I'd love to see Dust and Prodigy (with his powers restored) return to the fold. I miss them. And as a black queer person, I identify with Prodigy. Not just on that level of identity, but also in his nerdiness.
I swear Nature Girl can go spirit of the forest from Princess Mononoke and some will react ''Blah forced OP diversity...'' she is not. I wish people gave time for new characters to grow and shine.
Dust dodges Rosenberg and his death touch so does Prodigy.
Conspiracy theory did Marvel let Rosenberg kill Loa because she was a better more badass Kitty Pryde?
And a question for you Rahsaan. Would you like Prodigy to gain Moneta's power in addition to his own? What about dementia fingers?
Who is hating on Nature Girl? I've never seen posters bash in the character.
@Kiki, no. I don't want Prodigy to acquire Moneta's ability. That creepiness suits her hateful persona. I would like him to regain his mutation. Granted, I do appreciate that he retained all his skills learned via his psychic ability. I feel like he and Cypher would make an awesome team with their abilities. I know a lot of people would feel a way about them not having offensive powers and find them boring, but I feel like both can work in a book that is more cerebral and both have combat skills, so they can fight.
As for Moneta, I hope that we do learn if she solely a creation of Nate/David or if she pre-existed. I am not sorry to see that she is now gone.
@randybear there is art of Nature girl on pinterest with a cat and her dressed like a spinster. It was a stretch in fan forum discussions.
@Rahsaan creepy isn't synonymous of hate. Ernst, Glob and Graymalkin are creepy and full of love. You can be creepy and adorable something Prodigy can do with his knowledge. Your opinion is respected but the dementia fingers will make him a bigger player because people believe their eyes and less the imagination. Moneta as bad as she was could edit with her fingers memories like the best movie maker. Prodigy will not be ruined by that power.
