FSaker said...: You know, I was very interested in this game, but my interest faded after the producers said Psylocke won't be in the game, just her X-Gene. It sucks that they felt like adding Quicksilver and Northstar (who have the exact same powers) but couldn't add Betsy to the cast.

Although since the producers said the X-Genes give the characters the outfits from well-known X-Men, I do wonder how the two playable guys will look in Psylocke's buttfloss; that will probably be hilarious!!; September 1, 2011 at 10:50 AM

Vigmed said...: My own desire to try this was deflated when I read that there were only the three pre-made characters to choose from (and I really don't like any of them.) Learning that Betsy wasn't going to be in this was the last straw. I mean, how does someone like Caliban make it into this game, but not Psylocke? Really? Caliban. Of all the X-Men and their rogue's gallery to choose from. (Granted, not a bad character per se, but he's been dead for years and there are so many better choices that are fan favorites.)

Recall that there was the guy-version of Psylocke during Uncanny's part in House of M. Captain Britain fought a whole team of X-men made up of the male versions of our girls. Psylocke wore the Hand outfit. He wore pants though, like you're guessing these guys would. I was excited for this game, I'm still waiting on XML3(I can hope). I can get past the graphics not being great if the gameplay, story, sound & replayability are good. Not to sound like a whiner but I'm disappointed in the character design for the lead 3. I was hoping for some more diversity. A Latino/a choice would have been nice. If I get it, I'm playing has the kid from Berkley, got to show school spirit & I'll try Betsy gene mod on him.; September 1, 2011 at 6:18 PM

Actually, the only reason why I didn't suggest this outfit for the playable girl character is because she's really young, so that would make the player look like a pedophile... (although now that I think about it, the two playable guys are also underage, aren't they?)

I don't like Betsy in the thong either, but apparently Marvel thinks it's an iconic look that should never change, so eh...; September 1, 2011 at 6:31 PM
Alexander said...: I get it's iconic, honestly I'm surprised Rogue still isn't running around in her 90's gear. I've don't like the costume but I've made my peace with it. I just prefer it when it's drawn more cut as a bathing suit/unitard type than floss. No one looks good in butt floss.

Why is it none of Betsy's costume changes ever stick? There have been other characters who where said to have iconic looks who eventually got something new that stuck. Makes me want to sketch a redesign.; September 1, 2011 at 9:09 PM
