Erica Durso is usually a good artist, but this is awful. Looks like one of those cheap comic book covers for children. Covers #3 and #4 have been a real disappointment and are such a downgrade from Yanick Paquette. It feels like no one involved in this book is even trying.

My thoughts, too. If I were an average buyer browsing at my LCBS, I'd have mistaken this for one of their books from the young readers line on Marvel Unlimited. Goes to show how low the bar is set.

Especially seeing all the other covers with more mature tones in style in the solicits here

How is it that Editorial allows everyone including Mark Brooks to ignore Dautermann’s fantastic redesign of Ororo with tight curled Afro texture hair? Frustrating when you see a Dautermann cover in the same solicit.

The covers aside from Captain Britain all look sleek. Just bugs me that Russell does such a fantastic job of portraying Ororo with features she’d likely have based on her lineage and almost none of these other artists respect that enough to remain consistent.

So, while the solicitation for issue #3 indicated that Betsy would need to be rescued, issue #4 shows that she's already back on the battlefield. That's good (I mean, how lame would it be if she was used as a damsel in distress IN HER OWN SOLO X-BOOK?).

That said, Morgan and Doom? Yes, I know they were allies at some point, but the last time I remember reading a story with both interacting with each other was in Bendis's Dark Avengers run... where she was trying to KILL him after he betrayed their alliance. I'd expect that she'd have more reasons to attack Doom than she'd have to attack Betsy and the UK (then again, Jamie did vivisect her... maybe she's blaming Betsy for her brother's actions).

In an unrelated note, Si Spurrier's one-shot story looks very interesting (even though it probably won't have Betsy). If TH ever leaves Betsy's book (and if the book isn't cancelled), I'd love to have Spurrier becoming the new writer for the book.

@FSaker, Spurrier's Nightcrawlers #2 will visit Otherworld, according to the solicit. In issue #1, we learn that Mother Righteous wants the Siege Perilous. I wonder if we will see Betsy in the "Sins of Sinister" timeline or learn her fate.

Spurrier did such a good job with Betsy way back during his very short lived XForce stint. It would be amazing if he got Betsy next but not holding my breath for Betsy to ever be given to a writer worth a damn.
