Thankfully we were able to salvage the butterfly for Betsy and it seems back and here to stay. Just used very sparingly as opposed to Kwannon who always flashes it nearly every appearance, plus the covers. So naturally people will associate it with kwannon over Betsy going forward smh
It seems that every alternate world they visit is a barren land with an orange sky. I guess they're not very creative when it comes to imagining new worlds, are they?
I think Rachel looks really terrible in this. I liked her recent X-Factor look a lot better. And looks like Tini is doing to Rachel what she did to Betsy...namely, she made her powers just generic "powers". Rachel shoots fire blasts now? I know she has psi bolts, but what is she actually doing in these scenes?
When I look at the cover for issue #1, I am sympathizing with poor Brian Braddock, a character utterly destroyed by Tini Howard. He has been treated the same way as Merlin, Saturnyne, and Roma. Cast out, stripped of powers and dignity, and now relegated to obscurity most likely. Turned into a househusband and babysitter while his big sister goes out and fights. I wanted Betsy to be Captain Britain again, but not like this...
I didn't want her to be Captain Britain again, I rather she got her own unique name if she couldn't be Dissasembled Psylocke, but while I agree with most of your assessment of Tini's writing, I do believe Brian still has powers as Captain Avalon (I could be wrong on name lol). I think he got the Sword of Might now even though I think that was better suited for Betsy smh.
@Flying Negro, you read my mind. Also, what are those blasts coming from the hands of the various Captains? Are they firing generic psychic energy blasts? Are the blasts telepathic or telekinetic in nature? Tini’s writing is so goddamn lazy. I really cannot fathom exactly what about it her sycophants find so brilliant.
Also, will there ever be any acknowledgment from Elizabeth on her pattern of attractions to various Summers family members?
Can't expect creativity from Tini Howard. Remember Brian's Trops? All sets of strong and different personalities, different costumes, and not everyone was a Brian, which made their interactions even more interesting. Now cut to Betsy's Trrops, a bunch of generic copies of Betsy with similar costumes and the same bland personality or lack thereof, not to mention those stupid-looking animal versions that aren't remotely funny or amusing if you're over 10 years old.
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

Very tired of Tini's obsession with magic and spells smh lol. I just don't think it fits with Betsy imho.
Somewhat of a butterfly formed around Betsy's face. Can call it a silver lining. This all I can pick out.

@Nate No comment on the landscape, but orange skies are Tini's bizarre fetish, it seems; her Catwoman often features those, too.

This writing is pure 🚮.

@Nate, yup. Heaven help us. Her favorite is the swan, an ill-tempered bird. Her writing is so sophomoric and completely uninteresting.
