Not a very interesting preview, but maybe Saturnyne's story will make up for that. We'll find out soon, anyway.

...another Avengers/X-Men crossover?? Oh dear...

(to be fair, I kinda like AXIS, but it's not really much of an Avengers/X-Men crossover considering all the characters not related to the two teams that had big roles in it, like Deadpool, Medusa, Dr.Doom, plus Spider-Man's villains. AvX, on the other hand, was a HUGE disappointment)

I wonder what will be the reason for this new crossover. The most popular theory is that it will be due to Echo being the current Phoenix host, but other theories circulating include a marriage between Emma and Tony Stark (which makes no sense, in my opinion), or characters from one group moving to the other - with Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver being likely candidates to join the X-Men... and Captain Britain being a likely candidate to join the Avengers.

I never forgave the Avengers for their horrible behavior during AvX (and the way how Marvel forced that they were right to repeatedly attack the X-Men throughout the crossover), so at first I wouldn't like Betsy to join them... but on the other hand, she's barely been involved with the Krakoan community, being severely out of focus on any X-book that isn't Excalibur, so maybe she would at least be a little more relevant with the Avengers. Then again, they already have another female Captain and I doubt Carol is going anywhere (and that Marvel will add another female Captain as long as Carol is around), so maybe any fear of Betsy joining them is unfounded.

@FSaker It is early to have a new Mutants and Avengers crossover. The last interactions of the two sides like the Inhumans crossover with them was mediocre.

Betsy will benefit from the exposure in an Avengers team although she is a weird pick just as her brother Brian would as Captain Britain.

True. I like her as Captain Britain, but I'd prefer her to continue being Psylocke, with Kwannon using Revanche or any other codename. It's sad that Marvel won't do that as they probably don't want to confuse readers by dissociating the "Psylocke" codename from the image of the psychic ninja.

Still, Betsy should always have priority over that codename.

"For you, Mojo, only you... Have I danced us straight and true... Back to Earth, by way of the Psylocke's heart!" - Sprial, New Mutants Annual No. 2, Vol.1

I wonder if Mojo and Spiral will care that Kwannon has now taken their name? LMAO. That was the first time we saw the moniker, and Claremont never explained how it was concocted. We were left to assume it was a play on the word, psyche (as in psy-key).

I can see why Bets has moved on. Still unsure why Kwannon would want the name

It would be understandable for Betsy to move away from the name as soon as she escaped the Mojoworld - but interestingly, she actually embraced it. And it's not as absurd as it seems, as words that were originally used to insult people can be turned into words to empower the same people. That's what she did: "Psylocke" was turned from her "slave name" into her "superheroine name" (there are stories showing that Betsy always wanted to be a superheroine, and I guess she saw "Psylocke" as the name to establish that identity for herself).

As for Kwannon, it really doesn't make much sense for her to want that name for herself. Maybe she took it because people would already call her that, since they associate Betsy's superheroine identity to the body she was in at that time?

In-universe, there isn't enough reason for her to want to become Psylocke. As we know, the reason is in our real world...

Shylok is a starring role in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice. Claremont I smell juggled with that from villain to hero like from Mojo doll Betsy to X-Men Betsy.

Psylocke is extra Brit posh wording makes an ugly pic Betsy the British conqueror takes a Japanese bod leaves a mark and Revanche admits her slavery to the Crown keeping the Psylocke. West vs East 3-0.

Kuno for Revanche from Kunoichi the ninja gurl. I have beef with Kuno user who likes Revanche so let Revanche snatch his name lol!
