The smallest top model...

Yeah, I don't get this.
British Betsy is supposed to be model sized woman, and yet she's drawn like a child.

I dont get any of this, I am so bored of looking at these party scenes (but thanks for posting), I mean where is this all going? I know comics often reflect whats happening in the world, I guess this represents the crazy celebrity obsessed culture we are living in maybe? I mean what next, heroes battling it out on social media, the Real Mutants of Connecticut? What would Betsys opening line be, "They can take away my butterfly but I look good in any body they put me in". And I have to say, things flying around heads in animation and comics is a visual trope for someone who has just been knocked on the head https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CirclingBirdies.

And whats going on with the two people in the back who look like they are dressed for a wedding and just staring into the VIP room wishing that they had tried a little harder with their wardrobe?

I have loved characters for years, but it my opinion, Marvel is lost deep in the woods trying to make them relevant to contemporary culture, its kind of embarrassing at this point. Kind of like an older person desperately trying to look young, its never a good look.

And again, in what if Marvel did a captain Carter a Thousand times better than the actual Betsy...

To be fair, Captain Carter is more like a "British Captain America" than an actual Captain Britain, right? That said, I did find it weird that Marvel gave her the Union Jack flag motif, and hope this will be only a one-time thing; otherwise, this could make people confused whenever the actual Captain Britain - either Betsy or Brian - appears outside of comic books. Assuming Betsy will remain as Captain Britain for a while, I hope to see her being included among the X-Men in animated series, video games and so on (and if she still has the armor, please make it as shiny as you can, Marvel).

About the Gala, I don't think the idea is necessarily to turn mutantkind into celebrities. I mean, this could be the intention, but it could also be another way to establish Krakoa as a nation. I'm not into fashion, but fashion can also be used as a cultural expression, and culture is a very important part of any society.

And the party could be also an attempt to bring authorities from all parts of the world to get to know Krakoa closer, so that they could get to know mutantkind better and maybe realize mutants are not their enemies. Which probably won't work, of course.

...Or maybe Emma was just missing her Hellfire Club days with wild parties and outrageous outfits.

About Betsy's size, it's not much of an issue when we see her next to Gambit and Cannonball, both of them supposed to be quite tall guys, especially considering that she doesn't seem to be wearing high heels. What bothers me is that KATE PRYDE also looks taller than her, when she's supposed to be shorter. I'm also not sure whether Banshee is supposed to be tall.

@FSaker, that was my thought too, but then I looked up Remy, Sean, and Sam's heights. They are 6'1" (Remy) and 6' (Sam and Sean) respectively. She is 5'11", so even without heels, she should not be below chin-level on any of them. And Kate is 5'6", so like you said, the artists and artists really are being lazy. Even when Betsy is drawn the same height as some of the other women, it is lazy. She and Ororo are very tall women.

And I loved Peggy Carter. I was thinking that I hope if we ever see an animated version of Bets on Disney, that the actress who did Peggy could be hired to play Bets.

No way Betsy is shorter than Kitty. First stripped Psylocke now Marvel strips Betsy's height. Pass.

Actually, Kwannon is 5'11. Betsy is supposedly only 5'6". This aside, Betsy was always drawn as taller than Kitty. Maybe Kitty is just wearing heels?

This is what it said on Marvel Directory @The Flying Negro. Which I think makes more sense considering Betsy initially thought she was in her own body that was just altered until Kwannon appeared.

Height: (both bodies) 5 ft. 11 in. Weight: (both bodies) 155 lbs. Strength level: Psylocke possesses the normal human strength of a woman of her age, height, and build who engages in intensive regular exercise.
