Pepe Larraz drew a great Betsy hardcover for HoX/PoX but Mahmud Asrar nailed Betsy's new Psylocke costume and the Excalibur covers.

Nice. I love when Betsy isn't drawn with a ponytail! I'm itching to see Betsy involved in stuff outside of Excalibur!

Is the story getting political? Great Britain has political problems. I find it hard to read political things migrate to comics.

I hope not Tobias. That would be boring and also Betsy stated in Excalibur 6 that UK was Brian's home and Krakoa was hers so hopefully she doesnt get involved with any Brexit commentary. I feel like Tini has thrown everything and in the kitchen sink into these first 6 issues the last thing this bloated series needs is to take a stance on real world events that are quite polarizing.

Betsy has her work cutout for her. I feel like she is indeed being tested. Not a fan of Asrar's faces, especially on the females. His costume designs are on point though.

I don't like political debates on TV. I don't want them in the comics. The Civil Wars Marvel did with Bendis were boring. Fans liked the first because heroes fought one another and it grew old. If Betsy punches and takes the wig of Boris Johnson it will be lame.

Exactly. In fact, while Civil War was a huge success back in the day, it aged horribly (except for the art, which still looks good). The whole war escalated very quickly, and while superheroes do have a habit of fighting each other constantly, it makes no sense that the Pro-Registration and Anti-Registration sides wouldn't even try to discuss the matter with each other before going to war.

That said, I do think political debates can be interesting in a comic book if properly used. For instance, Hickman made a very brief statement in HoX/PoX showing intolerant countries as the ones that refused to accept a Krakoan embassy, and I LOVE that Brazil was included among them - for some reason, a huge part of the Brazilian population seems oblivious (some are even supportive) about the current government destroying social rights, defending deforestation and the invasion of the lands of indigenous tribes, harrassing and threatening the press, among many other absurds.

And Hickman made this criticism in a single line of the issue, so whoever dislikes the real world "invading" comics didn't need to be bothered.
