Would the problem be having to work with Boom-Boom (the girl who, you know, almost got her killed in the 90s), or having to fight in a snowy place wearing only her swimsuit? Tabitha could have lent her jacket to Betsy...

And I don't know how exactly she is using her powers against Hawkeye (it looks like now she has psi-projectiles in addition to her psi-knife), but it's nice to see her interacting with Warren! Is she just helping a fellow fighter, or could her warning to Warren imply that she still has feelings for her former love (even though he's now a brand-new human being with no connections to his former self)?; May 17, 2012 at 2:08 PM
JL81790 said...: I think that despite whatever happened in X-force she still loves Warren. Remender said that he believed they were in love and if they didn't have a duty to the X-men what happened in Warren's death scene (the life she made up for them) would probably come to pass.

I think real Warren will come back soon enough, but I think what's going on here is her having difficulty making the distinction between "man I'm in love with" and "man who looks exactly like the man I'm in love with but without his brain". FSaker said...: Yeah, it kinda sucks that the event is so focused on these three men. I wish the cover for AvX #5 represented the story and that the Phoenix would just burn the three of them to death. Without their huge egos, probably the remaining Avengers and X-Men would stop fighting and figure out how to concile their goals.

But I really love Hope, and I like the Scarlet Witch, and the two of them are also big players in this event, so... I'll keep following it.

Plus, Gillen promised that Psylocke would be featured in Uncanny X-Men during AvX (I just hope that by "featured", he doesn't mean her two-panels cameo this last issue), and she'll get to fight Daredevil in AVX:VS (in a story written by Remender!!!), so that's an extra incentive to keep following the event...; May 19, 2012 at 12:40 AM

Fsaker I completely agree I hope "feature" means more panel time then we've seen already because so far it's been disappointing and I also agree with Treysome I'm also getting bored and Dissapointed with Avx does anyone actually care about Hope?

Now they are turning her into a Jean Grey Replacement with the Pheonix force. It's been done before and then some. I'm bored of the bloody Pheonix Force seriously can't the Writers come up with something fresh and new.

How many more stories can they squeeze out of the Pheonix Force and red headed characters???; May 19, 2012 at 3:17 AM

Francis said...: well i actually like AvX, tie-ins are good too: versus, the story behind iron fist and the phoenix, the space avengers, reviewers gave really high scores, i'm quite into the story and we're not even at the clue point. And she's very different from Jean, both in powers and personality; if anything, Hope would be a replacement for Cable (except for the powers mimicry and the Phoenix part). Technically, Jean's only current replica is Rachel (poor Maddy is dead... I also liked her, but she was only cool when she was an ordinary woman with no powers), although Marvel has tried very hard to "jean-ify" Emma Frost.

But I agree, after AvX, I hope the Phoenix is put to rest, at least for some five years. Yet, it will keep coming back... like Galactus, Thanos and all cosmic entities/villains always do.; May 21, 2012 at 12:54 AM
