I felt bad for Fantomex. I think in his way he really does love her. Cold, dark scary Betsy. I wonder will the change in her personality be reflected in the other X-books as well?
I so need to get caught up, BUT here's my thought. Can't say I'm certain as it is just a thought, I think Betsy could be one of the two to die. However, I feel that she will share a similar fate to that of Angel in dying but not. It's been said that new-Angel's story of what he really is now is supposed to be an event, or something later on. So, maybe? Perhaps a stretch, I know but looking at those that have died already I don't feel that anyone is safe.
Have to admit that I find Fantomex hilarious in his behavior. I'm sorry but it's a little bit laughable and I don't feel sorry for him at all for being used. I don't think he loves her, he's just lusting after our favorite character. Can't blame him!
I agree, I really didn't feel much pity for Fantomex. I think he has lust for her and maybe loves the idea of her - or rather what he *thinks* of her, but I don't think he truly knows the first thing about her.
I wouldn't be surprised ether if she was one of the ones to die, only to be effectively reborn. Considering her recent losses and what has happened to her, it's going to make it hard for other writers to handle her and keep continuity (omg I know right??) unless some sort of reset button (death) is hit.
If this is the case, I hope it's handled well. Remender has been writing up a storm though - can't say I was impressed with the Otherworld arc, but this issue re-caught my interest.
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

Ouch. Poor Fantomex.
He had it coming.
Aww poor Fantomex, that's a bit harsh. I'm sure it won't be the last time. Treat em mean keep em keen and all that!
Wolvie seemed reather taken a back by the smooch he got. That's got to be the first time she's ever kissed him, well on panel anyway!
I reckon both fantomex and Psylocke will be back on the team soon but I'm still fearful Fant may be the one who croaks it after #27! :-(

Loved Psylocke's demeanor and words.
