Really? I don't see an issue here. Following Carey's explanation, Psylocke's power levels float between telepathy and telekinesis, so she has both powers, but not always she'll be able to use both to the maximum level.
Remender seems to prefer her with maximum-level telepathy and no telekinesis; Gillen and Gischler apparently prefer middle-level telepathy and telekinesis. And in both cases, it's okay; we just need to assume that in X-Force stories either her telekinesis is always unavailable by coincidence, or that she just doesn't think she needs to use it in these specific missions.
Now, about the issue, it's sad that Conrad left the book (I love his art), but this new artist seems to be very good as well. Now, if only Gischler could let go of the damn vampires...
I would consider vampires monsters who used to be people. You can't really reform them the exception being Jubilee i guess. Plus given Storms past dealings with vampires, specifically Dracula, I think she pretty much has a no sympathy for vamps rule haha
I actually dislike this art. And the bloody TK Katana. The only thing I am liking right now is that Storm has a leadership role again. Storm should always have a leader role. All this time when she's been relegated to the background reminded me of that period when Psylocke became telekinetic and had that awful bandana outfit, Phoenix had Crimson Dawn telepathy, Cecilia Reyes was trapped with the Neo, Rogue and Colossus were making out and Gambit led a team of X-men with Storm answering to him. The pits that was and very bizarre times.
@Rahsaan Chisolm: I'd have to agree with you about disliking this art. Because of the coloring,it looks very dated, very late 90's x-men. I have no problem with the tk katana. I dig it.Glad to see its showing up over in Deadpool's "Dead" story arc too. I like seeing here with the real katanas as well, but my issue with them is the fact thats she's pulling them out of nowhere!!! She's using swords and ninja stars in the Tabula Rasa story arc yet they're not mounted on her back when not in use and with here outfit theres really no place to hide anything. They just apprear haha. At least the tk katanas would make more since in my opinion.
Yes. Precisely! You hit the nail on the head. I hate most art from the 90s aside from Jim Lee's. The 70s and 80s with John Byrne and Marc Silvestri were awesome. This art currently shown looks too cartoonish to me.
by the way, valid point about the real katanas and other weapons. Psylocke never has any gear or place to stow them, so you're right that she shouldn't just be pulling them out of her ass so to speak.
By the way, when I look at X-Force's costumes, it makes me wish that there was some kind of greater uniformity in the mainstream team's uniforms.
Agh the whole issue focused on Jubilee, no one deserves... The only page the rest of the team appears is in this one... They could have made it more brief just to show that there is still hope for Jubes... Anyway...hoping for more team action next issue...

ok I'm starting to really like this team. something about the art in this that gives it edge. loving the dark blue and red combo.
Man, I thought the TK katana foolishness had been cleaned up and gotten done with. I know, I know, continuity from comic writers, whatever next XP
looks like it depends on what the writers like these days
Ugh
Noooo!!! Thank goodness, Remender doesn't use that gimmicky crap!
I don't mind her being telekinetic, but I do wish the writers would get on the same page. Or maybe just the same chapter.

Are vampires not considered people? I thought X-Men (especially the "high and mighty" Storm) was against killing.

@Mel: I always assumed Betsy strapped the katana on her belt. Occasionally she's depicted with straps that hold them against her back.
@Rashaan: I thought Kubert's art was pretty nice; Betsy is gorgeous in X-Men 31, 32, and 34.
