So, Rick Remender was reading his old Captain Britain comics and tweeted about the origin of Betsy's purple hair. Somebody suggested she should wear a Joy Division tshirt, and Phil Noto came up with this great piece in 20 minutes. Betsy Braddock, 1982!

Was that scene involving Betsy and Brian the first time she ever appeared with purple hair?
Love the art. I'm assuming that is the first time she showed up with purple hair. Cool. Always been curious about that.
Remender sounded really excited by this, too, and I expect to see her in a Joy Division t-shirt, or a mention of it somewhere.
I actually have the book with this story drawn by Alan Davis (and written by ALAN MOORE!!). This dialogue between Betsy and Brian happens shortly after he is ressurrected (after being killed by the Fury), sent back to Earth and after he defeats the evil computer manipulating his mansion.
But Betsy doesn't appear in the book I have before she asks him to meet her in that diner, so I don't know if she still had blonde hair in her prior appearance in the Captain Britain series...
And Phil Noto has my full support to make a story with Betsy wearing a Joy Division t-shirt and drinking beer any day!
