Saying that you’re sorry to say that implies that there is something wrong or shameful about a person or character being transgendered. There is not. The problem is that Betsy is not transgendered or many of the various other depictions/characteristizations she is given and that is an editorial issue. I don’t think you had malicious intent but saying you’re sorry to describe someone as looking trans implies that there is something wrong with a person looking trans. There is not anything wrong with looking trans, but there is something that feels wrong when a character is constantly being morphed in how she is drawn and written where there is a lack of consistency to readers.; May 9, 2023 at 8:59 AM

What I’m saying is that you apologizing implies that there is something bad about looking trans. We’re on that same page about it not looking like Betsy.
