Marcio Takara makes the greatest Betsy. She looks very beautiful in armor.

she looks gorgeous under his pencil. wish she looked like this in the actual books.

Betsy actually has a nice silhouette here. I wish all artists drew her armor more sleek and fitting. I just can't get into it when artists draw it bulky and shapeless on her.

Me too. I get that the D&D settings are based in medieval times, when armors really were bulky - but come on, Captain Britain is like a MAGIC knight; their magic power should be able to make the armor more fitting to the body of whoever is wearing them. Not to mention that a form-fitting armor would not only look better, but I suppose it would also be much more practical in terms of mobility.

Anyway, this is already Takara's second art we've seen here - and in my opinion, he can keep these arts coming as much as he likes! They look amazing!

I was thinking the same thing. Fans want to get ultra technical and say "omg boob armor" etc but yeah Betsy is literally powered by magical forces. Why would she just be provided traditional non special armor? Whatever she wears shouldn't have to be big and bulky for the sake of realism if the whole point is shes a warrior in a magical realm lol plus nearly all previous CB incarnations wore form fitting outfits but Betsy has to wear an iron lung 🙄

Has everyone seen this?

It's the same cover as Excalibur #2, but with the butterfly effect.

So has the effect been added for the TPB, or was it there originally (and this is the original art) and was removed for the originally printed version of the cover?

Betsy is complete with the butterfly to the sword shield I like her.

@Benjamin, this seems to be fanmade. It's the same butterfly effect from Greg Land's cover for Uncanny #509

Yeah sadly it's just fanmade. Someone on twitter posted it a while back.
