No disrespect to Illyana, but this is one match where I wouldn't mind the Arakko team getting the victory. Illyana is cool, but well, Pogg is cooler than her.
Me too! I love Pogg! And it's obvious be will lose badly as Illyana is the golden child of the xbooks. I used to love Magik but shes been oversaturated in the xbooks for years now.
I can only say that if Magik wins her match and Betsy loses hers, that will be outrageous and unforgivable.
That is, UNLESS Betsy manages to survive despite losing, AND gets to shine against the Arakko people in the final issue. I'll only accept her defeat if these two conditions are fulfilled.
Pogg Ur-Pogg is of those visually odd and striking creatures. The Ten of Swords has yet to tell the origins of the Arrakii champions and Apocalypse's original Four Horsemen. Only small glimpses of the love triangle of War, Bracken and Solem.
Pogg could be a beast mutant like Anole. An ancient crocodile on steroids possessed by Amenth nearly anything is a good guess. I'd like to know what it is before Magik kills it. Also to know from what material are the Pogg hands made of. They look like the crystals made of ancient mutant bones Apocalypse searched to build the External Gate in Excalibur comic.
@FSaker Isca is named Unbeaten. She defected to Amenth to keep her winning streak which means she has her limits. A weak spot exists always to powers that Betsy can take advantage of. Betsy has one big asset she is a telepath and a limited precog so she can find a path to victory and allow Isca to win even though lose.
@Jaime Braz, I hope you're right. Indeed, everytime someone is classified as "unbeaten", "invincible" or something like that, you can expect that this person WILL be beaten.
The thing is, if Betsy's match against Isca is the very first match of the contest, her chances of winning aren't so good, as the villains usually get the first victories and the heroes get the final ones. But hopefully this will be subverted this time.
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

But I doubt that will happen.

I have a theory Betsy will lose due to the Starlight Sword. I feel like Saturyne is setting up Betsy to fail. But we will see very soon!
