Tini Howard gets better and better. Despite the bad reviews that I suspect are fabricated the involvement of MI-13 is frightening and long awaited. Betsy has a long history with secret agencies like MI-13 and S.T.R.I.K.E. in which she served. I am curious to see how they react to her ascendancy as Britain's champion.
Orchis is the amalgamation of the biggest secret agencies and military organizations in the world and a division of S.T.R.I.K.E. is part of it.
Where does MI-13 stand in all this division between Homo Sapiens and Homo Superior? To whom mutant agents like Pete Wisdom swear allegiance? Is R.C.X. still active?
The combination of espionage, politics, magic and human rights makes Excalibur awesome.
@Alex if the colorist makes Rictor a little more tanned like most Mexican people are, Gambit and Rictor won't be confusing to the eye. Gambit has the distinct eye mutation to separate him either way.
Rictor opened a coffin to sleep? Blade is not on the team and Jubilee was cured from the Dracula virus we have instead Rictor?
Rictor needs a change in skin color a more light brownish.
The same mistake Marvel keeps doing and won't learn from it. In the comic Marauders the colorist Federico Blee whitewashed Storm and Bishop. There were panels where the two went from African Black and Aboriginal to Caucasian-Mulatto. Gateway fell victim to the colorist in the same comic.
The Kwannon virus spreads into other comics because Ninjalocke is still drawn as a white chick and not a Japanese woman. Tsk tsk shame on you Marvel!
I mistook Julio for Remy. What is happening to his powers? Krakoa messed with Black Tom and Mondo.

I'm guessing Krakoa throws off the abilities of mutants with any earth type of power. Hard to control something that's not only living but fully sentient compared to normal ground. I'm wondering if it's a self preservation thing for Krakoa or does it just give off a type of energy that they can't synch properly with?
In fact rictor is from guadalajara and there s a lot of german descendants there. Implying that all mexicans should be tanned is kinda how can i say... conservative?
@Tobias Was Magma on Krakoa? She's got earth/earth elemental related abilities...I can't remember if she was with the New Mutants on there, or not!
I haven't seen her in NM yet but I think she's on an upcoming issue's cover.
@Unknown, you are correct. Julio Esteban’s surname is German as it’s Richter. Rictor always has been a white latino; not a brown one.
Good point...maybe some of the earth-elemental mutants are having issues with their powers cause of Krakoa or is it when it merged with its other half?
Is there a place Germans haven't conquered? Aghh! Poor Guadalajara...
Rictor's dad name is Louis Alejandro Garabello Richter hardly German. His father is a halfie German-Mexican married to a full Mexican woman and Julio is a quarter German downright pointless mix.
Jason Genao the actor cast as Rictor is the right skin tone for Julio.
@Kiki, I wouldn't say Germans conquered. There was an extensive moment by the white powers that be of Latin American countries to breed out all African and Indigenous people after slavery was abolished. That included the solicitation of European immigrants from non-Iberian regions.

Krakoa is short circuiting the earth mutants. Rictor didn't have difficulty to control his powers before setting foot there. The island isn't good for some mutants. Word is out Krakoa is hostile and has its plans.
@K.A.T. Magma wasn't with the New Mutants. She was on the covers of New Mutants. The writers forget she and Sunspot have a love history.
I just got my copy. I liked it especially the Shogo stuff. My only disappointment was the lack of any sort of plan. They just tried to mindlessly brute force it. Now I get its issue three and the meta these days is six-issue arcs suited for bundling. But, still, let's build towards something. The character interaction was good, but the plot went nowhere.
@Alex Krakoa has to be responsible. Cypher thinks he invented a language and understands the creature what if the creature fakes and the information it gives Cypher are lies? I can see how Black Tom and Mondo lose their individuality every time they connect to Krakoa.
@Tobias Chatti we don't know if Krakoa is alive via science or magic. Hickman changed many historical aspects of the island. At the moment it seems to move in the arcane direction and far away from the nuclear testing atoll that was described originally in the X-Men books and in the Nick Fury limited series.
