Interesting cover! 1990s dominating it, yet we also get the O5 in their original masks on top, Thunderbird I behind Iceman and some X-Men in older versions (Havok and Polaris in their 1970s uniforms, Kitty in her debut uniform). I'd remove Kwannon and the guy with the weird helmet, though.
It reminds me of a fanfic idea I had not long ago which would be similar to Battle of the Atom - except involving the 1990s X-Men, the 1960s O5 + Professor X, and the REAL DoFP survivors (that is, Wolverine, Kitty, Magneto, Storm, Colossus, Rachel and Franklin Richards).
This is a great poster, but ut reminds me that the 90s and 00s were my least favorite time in X-Men history. There are some silver linings like the introduction of Bishop and the blossoming of Rogue and Gambit as a supercouple, but in general I’m really looking forward to what 2019 and beyond will bring as just looking at this poster reminds me of how much the emphasis on good character writing and storytelling was lost during those 20 years. I know a lot of people here vehemently agree since the 90s was their inception into this world with the animated series (which I’m also not particularly fond of) being their jump-off and I respect that, just that this was the beginning of the time when I began to disconnect with characters I loved and didn’t become fully invested again until around 2012 or so.
Seeing the success that series like the renewed Voltron have had on Netflix and live action series about the X-Men, like the gifted, I’d love for Netflix to create a revamped X-Men animated series for the X-Men of today (with some callbacks to the 80s, which was their heyday to date, but too many and maybe via flashback).
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

Agreed Rahsaan. I fell out of love with the X-men then.
But It's getting better.
I love the Xmen of all eras. Yea some were bad but they are still like family.
