This cover is fantastic! Another great work by Kris Anka.
That said, I'm glad it's not representative of the story. Psylocke should better be as far from the Phoenix Force as she can; leave it to Jean or Rachel or Hope (or even Scott; now that Jean, Xavier and Wolverine will be back, he could use some resurrection powers for himself).
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

OMG, how awesome is that variant cover!!!!
It looks to me like Psylocke is pulling the Phoenix by it's tongue.
lol
It's a pretty cool variant, tho.
It looks fierce! Always thought Betsy would make a deadly and precise Phoenix host!

Besides Elizabeth hates that bloody bird as we all know! She'd rather die again than be part lf its bullshit.
I hate Phoenix, but this variant looks awesome.
So cool the fire sword transforming into a bird.
