This is actually an interesting group for the new inner circle of the Hellfire Club. But Betsy seems to be getting angrier and angrier at Magneto, so I guess it's just a matter of time before she either leaves his team or takes the leadership from him.
I agree with you, Saker. About the inner circle, I liked because this is a formation which mixes classic members (Shaw, Magneto) with characters who combine with the Hell's Club for differents reasons: Black Tom have a noble origin, Briar is immensely rich and Monet's family had connections with the Hell's Club.
About the Betsy's attitude, the thing becomes a bit more... worrisome. She is a position of being the voice of reason, but Cullen Bunn needs to be more cautious because she can be transformed in a boring shit-ruler, mistress of truth. Kitty Pryde is kind of suffering from it.
PS: Still glad for the Black Tom Cassidy's return
Yeah, I agree; one Kitty Pryde is hard enough to handle. Oh well, at least Betsy acknowledges that the Hellfire Club may be useful to take the Someday Enterprises down. I just hope she doesn't become the new Black Queen (I'm surprised Bunn didn't put Briar in this role, considering he created her and he really likes her). Maybe Rachel or Magik could take this role.
As for Monet... I'm not surprised that she joined the Hellfire Club. I AM surprised that she joined the Hellfire Club BEFORE she even joined Magneto's X-Men (maybe even before Magneto himself joined the Hellfire Club). When this series started, she seemed to be the only untainted soul in the team, but it seems the youngest person in Magneto's team wasn't so innocent, after all...
Untainted soul? Monet? HA! I think Psylocke has a soul much more pure than her, a despite of Betsy's suffering is been more followed and felt by the public. However, I admit Monet has your questions and overcomings too, mainly about her relationship with Marius (She feel empathy for him after all he done). But her attitudes were NEVER good.
About the relation Monet/Hell's Club... Different from you, I'm surprised with Monet's join because I was not expecting for this. Hers reasons for join Magneto X-group seemed others (do you remember from #4 when she said the inhumans murdered someone she care so much?). But yes, the fact she joined before in Hell's Club change all the perspective, in addition to show Magneto as a great (and unreliable) strategist. This Comics series is really awesome and I'm glad Psylocke is safe, at least for now.
PS: I'm Brazilian too. We can talk about X-men any time. Have you any chat online?
