After FOX announced “The New Mutants”, a spin-off film to be directed and co-written by Josh Boone, Robert Liefeld took to Twitter to shed some light on the long-time rumored “X-Force” film.
According to Liefeld, the film adaption of “X-Force”, written by Jeff Wadlow, shared too many elements with “X-Men: Apocalypse”, including the title villain himself.
Liefeld went on to add that both “X-Force” and “X-Men: Apocalypse” couldn’t both exist. It is still up in the air whether “X-Force” will be rewritten.

Wait, hot does Rob Liefeld knows so much about the X-Force film? Was he involved with the writing somehow?
If he was, then maybe it's a good thing that it was cancelled. Liefeld's X-Force was awful. Terrible art, shallow plots and stupid characters (Rictor and Shatterstar became much better after Peter David wrote them; same for Domino after Spurrier, Cable after Swierczynski, Warpath after Brubaker and so on). Any X-Force film should be inspired either in Kyle & Yost's run, Remender's or Spurrier's.
* hot does Rob Liefeld = HOW does Rob Liefeld. Sorry for the typo.
FSaker,
Could not have said it better myself if I tried! A-fucking-MEN!
