Oh Claremont... You wouldn't get away doing that stuff today in a mainstream comicbook...
J77, what wouldn't Chris get away with? A butt-naked Psylocke??? HAHA. ;-)
I miss the Wildways and the Doug/Betsy friendship! Doug as an adult now, so I'd love if a writer explored their friendship again. And Doug was so smart, thoughtful and sweet. He might be just what the psychologically disturbed Psylocke needs after all the crap she's neen put through.
I meant naked Psylocke with Doug who was a minor at the time.
Yes, pairing up adult Betsy and minor Doug was wrong in all levels possible. For all the brilliant things Claremont made, he surely had some very inappropriate ideas when it came to romances (see adult Colossus and minor Kitty, adult Sat-Yr-9 and barely legal Kitty, Rogue and Magneto... damn, it's because of him that Carey and Gage later brought Rogue and Magneto back together).
But nowadays, yes, Betsy and Doug should interact more often - like Rahsaan Chisolm said, they don't have to become lovers, it would be great just to see them as friends, talking, helping each other and so on.
Apparently, Mirage thought they were knocking boots too. Haha! Or at least wanted to just josh with and embarrass them: http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/icon_uk/11800056/1237392/1237392_original.jpg
Betsy didrealize their attraction would be inappropriate to act on thankfully, so Claremont didn't go too far:

And the fact that her subconscious even figured Doug into it while she was fighting the Hand's brainwashing shows their relationship mattered to her: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6OW6t-mcEWc/VOUCOYJSsAI/AAAAAAAAX54/vIO9pGjVv9M/s1600/Uncanny%2BX-Men%2B%23256%2B-%2BDoug%2BRamsey.png
I wish some writer would learn to respect continuity and use it for the gold mine it could be.
Yes, it would be nice to see them talking or something like that. But to be honest, I kinda understand why most writers don't do that: each of them is also linked to several other characters. Doug is linked to way less characters than Betsy, and even then, many readers have asked for him to interact with Wolfsbane (she was his boyfriend when he died, and I don't think they even shared a panel after he was revived), with Kitty Pryde (apparently he had a crush on her, as both were the geeky kids of X-Mansion during the '80s), and so on. To make matters harder, he isn't part of the X-Men nowadays.
By the way, the preview for X-Men #25 is out: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=preview&id=26293
Psylocke doesn't appear in the first pages, but she looks great in Jim Cheung's variant cover! He should draw her more often (I'll never understand why he only showed Psylocke in the cover for the first issue of AvX, while Rogue was in the covers of four issues even though she only participated of AvX #11 and #12).
