Nice preview. I hope the entire issue will be good as well.

Next week, Marvel will also release the next issue of X-Force. Psylocke doesn't appear in the preview pages (nor does any member of the X-Force), but the dialogues between the journalist and the military people are great: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=preview&id=22969

I am surprised they don't have warbird in this issue - since she's shi'ar and all.

You're right! Warbird should definitely be involved in an arc about the Shi'ar.

The thing is, unfortunately, she's been completely forgotten ever since Jason Aaron left the X-Books, so I wouldn't be surprised if Guggenheim forgot she exists. Damn, I myself forgot she exists before you mentioned her (and I actually like her).

Either that happened, or he intentionally avoided Warbird so that the dialogues wouldn't get confusing when the OTHER Warbird (Lilandra's sister, who will be involved in this arc) appears - it could get messy trying to figure out to which Warbird the X-Women would be referring in each line.

...I really need to re-read the Shi'ar stories; only now I realized that Lilandra's sister is named Deathbird, not Warbird. Sorry for the mistake.
