Jim Cheung is an awesome artist, I love this cover! But it looks like he drew Betsy with short hair... not that there's any problem with it (she had short hair during the Revolution era, and she looked great with it), it's just curious, considering that almost every artist draws her with long hair.
Wolverine appears on the Avengers side in this cover, yet his followers Rogue and Gambit are sided with the X-Men. Well, covers are just covers and they may not represent allegiances, but I think Logan may indeed begin this battle on the Avengers side - on the other hand, I suspect later he will join the X-Men side; after all, even though he's not on good terms with Cyclops, the X-Men are still his family.
And Archangel will already be battling, it seems. It's a good chance to show the readers how effective nu-Warren is.
Did I already say that this cover is awesome? Because it is!
@Brian - No, you're not. I actually think that Spider-Woman would make much more sense as Psylocke's opponent in this "war" than the Black Widow. She has more powers to provide a more balanced fight against Betsy (although Psylocke should technically be more powerful than her as well) - and she's not in the Avengers movie, which means that Marvel wouldn't have a reason to favor her over Betsy in the battle.
Hard to say just how down and dirty these fights, or encounters, could get but I want to see some unexpected matchups. Thor vs Magneto. Spider-Woman vs Archangel. Black Widow vs Gambit. Red Hulk vs Storm. Ms. Marvel vs Iceman. Captain America vs... Psylocke! (With the movie-factor and this being Cap, I think we'd be entertained to a great fight with no winner - but a major nod as a serious force for our favorite ninja-telepath.)
Just, whatever, something new, you know? Maybe I'm just biased but if Bets played to her strengths then I think she could beat anyone on the Avengers. That psychic knife...
But yes, awesome cover! Starting to feel the hype!
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

Am I the only who wants to see Psylocke vs. Spider-Woman?

Armor + Storms knee makes Hisako look a little bit... phalic.
I'd like to see a fight between Magik and Dr. Strange, with both using their mystic skills... it would be awesome!
