Unrelated to the art above but it still blows my mind that a lot of fans are in denial about Betsy losing the butterfly. Even after Jordan White and Marcus To clearly said she wasn't going to use it anymore and she hasn't since Age of Xman. How are people under the assumption she still has it?
I know a lot of casual fans who still think Betsy is Psylocke & aren't aware that she's back in her og body. Especially a lot of older fans who read the 90's comics & then left at some point before the 2000/10's.
You're right. I see people on Twitter and tumblr all the time still asking if Betsy is still Japanese. Someone even said they thought Betsy was CB in Excalibur but still Psylocke in Fallen Angels loool
I think she still has it. Or rather could still use the butterfly if she wanted to (as well as ninja skills), she's just choosing not or I believe Jordan tried to say it was her "evolving" and using the butterfly analogy to support it. I doubt many of us believed him. I don't really see Kwannon using it much either though, more like butterfly constructs at times (which looked stupid to me, at least Betsy's huge construct was forced, Kwannon actually chose those dumb wings lol).
As a Betsy the real Psylocke fan I'm aware of what's happening. Who says that I'm going to let Cebulski rob Betsy of all she got and give it to his ninja wet dream? Betsy will have her rep ruined leeching on the stuff that belong to her brother. Marvel used to be the house of ideas. I tell you Cebulski's and Jordan's idea of evolution is backwards. Let's see how good their idea sells.
@Randybear, you're right. A lot of comic blogs still on Tumblr tag any Psylocke stuff as both Betsy & Kwannon. There was a FA blog that for the longest thought it was Betsy leading the team. Few weeks ago I watched a twitch Marvel Alliance 3 chat devolve into an argument cause someone mentioned that she's no longer the ninja. I kinda feel they should've done both Betsy recreating her old body & then becoming Captain Britain in one of the main X-Books. The hunt for Logan mini was the wrong place to do it cause not everyone buys minis or special. Especially over the last decade with marvel pumping out more mini specials & extra long crossovers events than normal in series issues. I felt they should've done the return to the white body in adjective less or Uncanny then build a B plot sometime later that has her needing to become CB somehow. Then let that be the cause to reestablish Excalibur. Think that would've helped fans who may or may not be fond of her at least know that, hey she's back in her old body with a new purpose.

That was probably fun to watch. Especially considering that the MUA3 Psylocke IS Betsy, despite being a ninja (the game came out before the body swap, if I remember correctly, and MUA3 Psylocke is clearly caucasian anyway), adding more fuel to the confusion...
Anyway, @Alex, I love your ideas! Yes, things would be much clearer that way. I also wonder if maybe instead of having Kwannon as the new Psylocke, Marvel could have brought a Betsy from an alternate timeline (where she never returned to her original body) to the main reality and have her join the X-Men, or if maybe part of Betsy's self could have remained in the Asian body, thus allowing us to have both women be Betsy (kinda like when Fantomex's brains were split among three different bodies, or when some of Madrox's dupes developed their own identities but still recognized themselves as Madrox). And whether the British Betsy could remain as Psylocke at the same time the Asian one (with two Psylockes like the way we've had two Wolverines), or whether Betsy could become Captain Britain with Brian also continuing to be Captain Britain (I mean, there's a whole troop of them)...
There are several ways Betsy's situation could have been handled, I guess.
I love the mess these guys put themselves for being dumb. The body split was precise. Betsy got back her original body and REVANCHE hers with the knife. The other semantics are incompetence from them and jealousy that REVANCHE is bottom of the heap compared to Betsy. Bottom line is Betsy owns her real image and the ninja image.
I don't want 2 Betsy's. I want Betsy as Disassembled Psylocke. Betsy in her original body, retaining her martial arts skills and mental abilities & and the same kick butt attitude she has had in both bodies.
Kwannon could have still been Revanche with ninja skills and a powerset similar to Empath (who ironically is in her current book).
Both ladies were in each others bodies displaying ninja skills before at the same time, I'm not sure why it's so challenging for the writers to have just done the same thing now in their original bodies. It is still the same two exact bodies with ninja skills, just like before lol.
That said, I don't hate Betsy as Captain Britian (though I don't love the costume and again prefer Dissassembled), but I rather she and Brian swap. She gets the sword of might and her own original name if she still doesn't want to use Psylocke. The sword imo, is more fitting for Betsy since I think she has always been more an "anti hero" than super heroic like Captain Britain seems to be.
You give the solution X-Man something I believe also. The book is bad right now. The magic and Apocalypse fill the book and I like Betsy to do spy and political activities. To fly jets, kick and punch like Black Widow. Betsy must be in X-Force with Wolverine, Colossus, Beast, Sage.
I was always a Betsy fan and even more wheb she was a badass ninja! But nowadays I don't even know what to think If I like her as CB or if I like Kwannon at all.
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

...I kinda like this idea, actually.
But yeah, it's not gonna happen.

Hopefully this all has a good conclusion.
