Psylocke has often been crowned "one of he deadliest fighters in the MU" but it's honestly something we don't get to see a lot of. Is there a chance for some good combat sequences for her?
Cullen Bunn: You’ll be seeing a lot more of Psylocke as a combatant, but it will only be one facet of her character. That said, I just turned in an outline for a future issue where I described Psylocke in the middle of one of the most vicious battles we’ve ever seen. (source)
I was going to ask if Psylocke was going to have any stand out scenes because I feel she is not considered a strong fighter or telepath. But I just read some of your responses and I want to say Im highly anticipating your run and super excited about the first issue.
Bunn: You’ll love Psylocke even more once this book gets going. (source)
Will Psylocke still have her "addiction to killing" in Uncanny?
Bunn: You’re not going to see an “addiction to killing” but she is not opposed to it, either. She’s a little more grounded, I think, and she has some other things are becoming more important to her. (source)
With Magneto leading this team will Psylocke be acting as his second in command? They seemed to be forming a begrudged kinship in Gillen's Uncanny, can we expect to see that carried over?
Bunn: While this is Magneto’s team, I think he almost sees Psylocke as a co-leader. She has his respect in this series. That doesn’t mean he lets her in on all his secrets, though! (source)
If you could describe each member(that we know about) of Uncanny X-men with just one word what would they be?
Bunn: Magneto - Driven
Psylocke - Burdened
Sabretooth - Penitent
Monet - Angry
Archangel - Enigma
Fantomex - Spy
Mystique - Mercurial
[Redacted] - [Redacted] (source)
Can we expect a crossover with Extraordinary at some point? How do you think Ororo, Bob, Kurt and Colossus will feel with Magneto, M, Betsy and Warren in a X-Force style team?
Bunn: It’s likely you’ll see the team interacting on some level, but don’t expect an immediate full-fledged crossover. (source)
Will the Uncanny X-Men team be a secret or not team?
In terms of villains who'll be showing up in Uncanny X-men is there any chance of seeing Selene return? She's always been a favourite of mine and I was really happy to see her brough back in X-men recently, was wondering if there's any chance of her showing up here.
Bunn: There’s definitely a chance! I have loved Selene since Uncanny X-Men 189! I have a plan mapped out for the series, though, so it probably won’t be straight away. (source)

Well, that's nice. It seems that Cullen Bunn actually wants to use Psylocke in his stories. And if his work in UXM is as good as his work in Magneto's solo series, she'll be in good hands.
It's also nice that he acknowledges Spurrier's run (talking about her addiction to murder) and her current situation will be some sort of progression. Plus, the respect between Magneto and her, which Gillen showed in UXM vol.2 and that actually exists since the time she joined the X-Men, when Magneto was the school's headmaster.
(which reminds me, I always thought it was weird when Claremont had her attacking Magneto before he even had a chance to explain himself in the Mutant Genesis arc)
Aaand... the eighth member. I am still hoping that it will be ForgetMeNot, but some rumors from BleedingCool seem to imply that Cyclops is either the eighth member of the team (and the real leader, while Magneto would be just the field leader) or strongly associated to them somehow.
Spurrier's run was excellent also in exploring Psylocke's habilities.
I wonder why the sales were low enough to lead to cancelation of the series...plots were good and stories had lots of action.
I agree that Psylocke deserves more recognition as a combatant but also as an X-man.
Because unfortunately, good plots aren't what bring high sales anymore. Remender's Uncanny X-Force was universally praised and it didn't have huge sales either - sure, it sold well enough, but it did have Wolverine AND Deadpool in its cast.
Spurrier's X-Force run didn't rely on very popular characters (Cable and Psylocke are relatively popular, but not on the same level as Wolverine, Cyclops or Storm), it wasn't directly linked to other books, and not everyone liked Kim's art style (I loved it, but many of my friends hated it).
It doesn't help that most comic book reviewers gave low scores to the first issues of X-Force and never bothered to review the later issues - I guess no one told them that Spurrier's stories are hard to understand in their first issues, but once you finish the series, you realize that they HAD to be written that way. Unfortunately, reviewers and readers seem to prefer shallow issues with mindless action, cheap jokes and plot twists that come out of nowhere. Such a shame.
But at least Spurrier managed to give X-Force a great end, tying all the loose ends.
I agree with you regarding Kim's art. I couldn't stand it. I was happy when they had the fill in artist in the middle but then the art at the end (forget menot's arc) was even WORSE
You mean the two issues (#10 and #13, I think) with Tan Eng Huat's art, right? Yeah, I don't like it either.
It's funny, because both Huat's and Kim's arts were hated by most readers, yet I love Kim's art but hate Huat's. I think it's because Kim's art somehow reminds me of Clayton Crain's in the Kyle & Yost's X-Force (but with brighter colors). Can't explain exactly how it reminds me of Crain's art, it just does.
Loved Spurriers stories. Hated kims art. I think that hurt the book more than Spurriers story telling.
