I suppose that whatever is happening there, takes place before Angel's demise and the second Uncanny X-Force. That's probably why she's in her old outfit. Although his long hair indicates the present. Hm.
I don't remember where I read it, but apparently this illustration will be just some sort of variant cover, so Betsy being with her old outfit should be no big deal.
At least she's kissing someone she really loves. After all, there are some weird couples in this art, like Xavier and Mystique (sure, they got married, but it's still weird) or Nightcrawler and Rogue (what happened to Amanda Sefton and either Gambit or Magneto?).
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

Why is Psylocke in her old outfit? Haven't anyone told Pichelli she has a new costume? And what are these kisses teasing in Bendis' project?
