Psylocke looks really disturbed/defeated in the third page. I wonder what moral dilemma she has to go through but whatever it is I don't think Wolverine and her are on the same page.
Am I wrong or is Betsy wearing a belt instead of a sash? In the third page it definitely looks like a belt, like a grey variation of the one she used to wear in the X-Men Blue Team. And in the fourth page, it seems there's something dark in the middle of it... could it be a "X" badge? I hope so! She needs some change in her uniform (besides just changing the colors of her regular one), and as minor as this change would be, it would still be welcome!
Regarding her expression, I guess she wants to free those imprisoned men, maybe they will die if they stay there even if the X-Force defeats Apocalypse, but Logan will probably order her to leave those men there and join the other X-Forcers in the battle, as he would consider defeating Apocalypse their priority. Or maybe she is reading their minds and getting horrified at the tortures they've been through.
Nevertheless, I must say Opeña's art looks really good in these panels! Third page specifically reminds me of John Cassaday's art, perhaps even better!
Awesome observations, Fsaker & I hope they're all true. I also really hope no writers forget that she is a telekinetic. Or making her too ninja for her powers like they did in the 90s.
I feel bad for Besty! She's way to human and compassionate for a team full of brutes like x-Force.
I hope she can continue on this team without to much psychological damage.
PS. I wonder what her friends like Rachel, Storm, and Dazzler will think when they find out about this secret team. You all remember how bad Storm reacted after she found out about Logan and the previous X-Force.
@ black north, you'd think Rachel already would know... Betsy isn't immune to tp anymore, nor are any of the other X force members, or anyone they encounter. I don't understand how something like this could be kept much of a secret, from the telepaths at least. But you're right. The reason for her joining the team, out of any of them, really has to be looked at. Or it's true that everyone has forgotten about her character & only recognizes her as a "dragon lady" (no offense intended with that remark).
I know not everybody is a big fan of the Warren / Betsy relationship, but Warren really helped her pull herself together after the whole body swap debacle. With his support, she was able to find herself and get past what had been done to her. It seems very natural that she would want to help him as well, or at the very least stop him from going off the edge.
Also, she's pretty tight with Logan. She's one of the few people he relies on for particularly risky missions so she's pretty good pick for this team. Logan would want an ally he can trust, especially considering how unstable Warren, Fantomex and Deadpool are.
I'm sure there's a lot more to find out. There's only been one issue!
Fantomex isn't unstable as far as I know; he seemed to be pretty sane back in Morrison's run. He may be unreliable, though; he seems like the kind of agent who wouldn't hesitate in running away and leaving his teammates behind during extreme danger.
Anyway, Rachel has no way to know about Betsy's involvement with X-Force, since her telepathy most likely doesn't have interplanetary reach. As for the other telepaths, Xavier respects (or so he says) the privacy of others' minds, and neither the Cuckoos nor Emma Frost would probably care about it.
Storm and Dazzler would probably condemn her for being part of it.
I wonder if she can read Deadpool's mind- Deadpool's mental resistance varies greatly from writer to writer. Of course even if she can, I'm not sure if reading one one of the most warped minds in the MU would be wise and it's not like she could mess his mind up anymore than it is.
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

^ Yeah I really can't wait to find out what exactly is going on in that page.
That kid is creeps!

I just saw the ridiculous ass shot. Sigh.
