Uncanny X-Men #22 Spoilers & Art

Spoilers: Emma Frost fine tunes the mental block, while eavesdropping on Cyclops. Dr. Nemesis informs he managed to develop a vaccine for Dark Beast's anti-vaccine. The children in a coma should be fine. Meanwhile, Wolverine attacks Mr. Sinister who turns out to be a clone. The X-Men are attacked by Sentinels at the behest of General Callahan, who used a blocker to prevent Emma Frost from making him forget about mutants. Havok sacrifices himself to save Cyclops. Madrox creates multiple dupes to slow the assault of the Sentinels. Madrox dies in the process, but holds the Sentinels off long enough for the X-Men to reappear from the Age of X-Man and help Cyclops, Wolverine, and the others. Jean Grey and Scott reunite. Wolverine puts Callahan down. The X-Men, other than Emma, collectively make the decision to destroy the device keeping people from remembering mutants in the middle of the battlefield despite what it may mean for them: namely, that humankind is going to declare war. Cyclops destroys it himself and says that they've always been at war.

Age of X-Man: Omega #1 Spoilers & Art

Spoilers: The false world that Nate Grey created comes crumbling down as the rebellious mutants awaken from their dreamlike state. Nate explains that rather than an alternate universe, it’s a separate plane of existence that exists within Nate Grey himself created when the Life Seed merged with him after the Battle of Disassembled. X-Man sees his actions as saving the X-Men, while the X-Men themselves see it as both abandoning those left on Earth and living a half-life without companionship or love. Ultimately, the thesis is that relationships are what define the X-Men, and subtracting them takes away far more than what could ever be gained. Even Nate Grey is affected by his relationships, his subconscious creating a second Danielle Moonstar that exists solely within the Age of X-Man. The Marvelous X-Men are unsure about what they want. Some like Nightcrawler and Nature Girl want to stay, while others like Jean Grey and Storm want to return to their world, especially after seeing Cyclops’ X-Men in desperate need of help. On the other hand, the X-Tracts support X-Man’s vision, while the Prisoners want their life back. Nate Grey decides to restore everyone’s memories and original forms. They all have to go or all have to stay, it’s all or none. The mutants created specifically for the Age of X-Man cannot leave either. Magneto takes matter in his own hands and decides to plunge the Life Seed through Nate’s chest as it is the only way to end this. Elsewhere, Blob tells Psylocke it won’t be the same after they go back. Betsy replies that’s what makes it beautiful. As Magneto stays behind, the others travel through the fissures in the space-time continuum and return home. Magneto tells Nate his vision wasn’t fully formed thanks to the misguided rules and policing that Nate Grey enforced. A deal is struck: a piece of Magneto stays behind with Nate so they can dream it all up again from scratch, while the real Magneto returns home with the others. The Age of X-Man ends and begins again.

X-Men: Apocalypse's Olivia Munn Reveals Psylocke Frustrations

CBR: X-Men: Apocalypse star Olivia Munn revealed some frustrations she experienced on the set of the 2016 superhero film. Specifically, Munn was irked at the fact that director Bryan Singer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg apparently didn't know a great deal about her Marvel character, Psylocke.

While participating in an "Actually Me" video for GQ, Munn was asked on social media if she was frightened by how "crazy" some fans get over film adaptations of comic books. She replied, "No, because I get like that too."

"I think that people wouldn't get so crazy if it was just a really great movie," Munn continued. "When I was doing X-Men, I was actually surprised that the director [Singer] and the writer [Kinberg] didn't even know that Psylocke had a twin brother. And I had to talk to them about a lot of different things about Psylocke and some other parts of the world that they didn't know and that, as a fan, was very frustrating."

In the events of the film, Munn's Psylocke serves as a bodyguard to Tómas Lemarquis' Caliban before being recruited by Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse as one of the villain's "Four Horsemen" alongside Magneto, Angel and Storm. The X-Men ultimately defeat Apocalypse, with Psylocke escaping amidst the chaos. The character ultimately did not return for Dark Phoenix.

If Munn's comments are anything to go on, it appears the actress wasn't particularly happy with how things played out for Psylocke was portrayed in Apocalypse. Notably, she has also had a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing as reporter Chess Roberts in Iron Man 2.

Psylocke's Future Looks Bright

With the Age of X-Man ending next week and Jonathan Hickman's 'House of X' #1 being released on July 24, there's still no word on where Psylocke might appear next. Betsy is still conspicuously absent from any House of X/Powers of X promotional image, covers or interior art previewed so far, with the exception of very few variant covers. The same cand be said about other major characters like Rogue, Gambit and Kitty Pryde, to mention a few.

With that in mind, all eyes are set on Marvel's Next Big Thing panel at SDCC to be held on July 20, where Jonathan Hickman will reveal what comes next for the X-Men after the senses-shattering revelations of the House of X and Powers of X, and a new wave of X-Books are expected to be announced.

Writer Leah Williams now took to Twitter to reassure fans concerned about Psylocke's abscence that things are looking up for Betsy Braddock. Although Williams confirmed she's not involved wth the books, she wasn't any less excited: "I promise you that you're [Psylocke fans] gonna be stoked. I promise! Full disclosure, I'm not involved, I just know too much and have been excited forever."
