Uncanny X-Men #511 Spoilers

Spoilers: Cyclops, Wolverine, Colossus and Northstar head to Westchester aboard the Blackbird. The Sisterhood teleports in their Headquarters, and the Red Queen casts a spell so that Jean's hair lock can find where her body is. Maddie orders the Mastermind sisters and Psylocke to stay and deal with the X-Men. She then takes Chimera, Spiral and Deathstrike with her to seek Jean's body. Emma Frost, Storm, Dazzler and Karma arrive at their hideout and prepare to fight them. Meanwhile, the Red Queen and the others arrive at the destroyed grounds of the old Institute, in Westchester. Domino is there waiting for them, and Cyclops' group also shows up. Back in San Francisco, Dazzler tries to reason with Psylocke and bring her back to her senses, but it's hopeless. Dazzler then generates a huge beam of light and ends up blowing off Betsy's face. Psylocke manages to break free for a moment and uses her psi-knife on herself. In Westchester, while the Sisterhood is keeping the X-Men busy, the Red Queen transfers her consciousness inside Jean's body, but it backfires. Inside Psylocke's mind, the real Betsy is at war with her evil self, and ultimately kills the evil being inside of her. Cyclops explains to Maddie that Domino had already taken Jean's corpse out of her coffin, switching it for another body, one that isn't able to contain Maddie's psyche. In San Francisco, Dazzler tries to wake up a seemingly dead Psylocke, when Betsy suddenly awakes in her Asian body! Spiral, feeling the Red Queen's defeat, teleports all the sisters out, and they disappear. Emma communicates telepathically with Scott and tells him that the X-Men just gained a new member: "Betsy Braddock - Psylocke. Telekinetic psychic. Ninja. Back home. At last." Back at the Graymalkin Industries, Beast confronts Scott and Emma about the secrets both of them have been keeping lately. He says he's taking the X-Club on a mission and that he'll have a conversation with them after he comes back.

Uncanny X-Men #512 Variant Cover - Back to the 80's

Newsarama has released the variant cover to Uncanny X-Men #512. This 80's variant is part of Marvel's 70 years anniversary celebrating the coolest and most controversial fashions, music and cultural quirks from the last seven decades. The art features Psylocke, Rogue, Storm and Dazzler in such fashion! Does anyone know what's Psylocke 80's reference? I've read Boy George or Annie Lennox, still not sure. Also, we still don't know the artist's name. I like it!

X-Position: Craig Kyle & Chris Yost

X-Force writers, Chris Yost and Craig Kyle, join CBR to answer your questions in today’s X-Position. Fortunately, there was a question regarding Psylocke, mine! :D The last part was answered at CBR's X-Books forum!

Will Psylocke guest-star in “X-Force” at some point? I think she is the one person that can really relate to what Warren's been through lately (as she just got body-swapped again) and they have such a beautiful story together. Please, make it so!

Yost: No, they had a weird story together. They had that weird “Crimson Dawn” thing, and then he slept with Paige, who was like, twelve.

Kyle: That’s inappropriate. We didn’t write that, did we?

Yost: Nah.

Kyle: Phew.

Yost: There are no plans right now for a significant appearance by Psylocke in X-Force, but you never know. As mentioned, there is a storyline coming up after the X-23 arc that will impact the X-Universe in general, and as such Betsy could well make an appearance there.

And while Psylocke could relate to Warren's situation, I don't see Warren opening up to her right now, for fear of hurting her.

Dodson on Psylocke during Dark X-Men !

A fan asked Terry Dodson on his blog the following....

"--Is there any possibility you could pleeeeeeease design a new outfit for Betsy? The Psylocke fans were hoping she would wear something new and something other than the old Jim Lee design. That would be the greatest if you would consider it!"

And Dodson replied with....

"I will draw Psylocke in my Dark X-Men/Dark Avengers arc and she will be in a different costume."

I'm thrilled! I'm so happy that she will not be in the hand outfit! I can't wait to see what new uniform they have ready for her!

And The Winner is...

Asian Psylocke with 53% of the votes!

Thank you guys for voting! I mean, really, we had 293 votes! I hope no one cleared cookies to cheat on the poll. LOL It was really close, and British Psylocke almost won! Well, this Wednesday we'll finaly get our answers and find out in which body Psylocke will stay. To celebrate Asian Psylocke's win, I've chosen this picture by Marc Silvestri from that X-Men/Cyberforce crossover. I really love this drawing. Betsy looks great. Maybe that's how we'll see her in the upcoming Utopia one-shot, who knows? :D

X-Position: Paul Cornell

CBR: Paul Cornell joins X-POSITION to answer questions about vampires, the unfortunate cancellation of “Captain Britain” as of issue #15, and the fun he’s having in "Dark Reign: Young Avengers." While he's at it, he answers a question about Psylocke as well. It seems here's another writer who likes her!

Is there any chance of continuing “Captain Britain and MI13” through a miniseries or could it get relaunched under a different title? And any chance of Psylocke showing up before the series ends to say “hello” to her brother?

I'd love to have had Psylocke appearing. I'd like to think we could get a mini together some day. We're talking about it, and we'll keep trying.

The Psylocke Poll - In which body do you want Psylocke in?

Okay! This past week was not so productive. No Psylocke news at all! So let's do a little poll. It's simple. In which body do you want Psylocke in? I ask it because I see a lot of fans complaing about the British body returning because Asian Psylocke is iconic and popular, and because of her they've became fans. Others complain about the Asian body because they feel this is simply not what Psylocke was supposed to be. It's a travesty! Before a Civil War breaks out in Psylocke fandom, let's all agree that Psylocke rocks in whichever body she's in! Poll is right here, on the right! Vote!

Remastered X-Men Poster by Jim Lee

Marvel.com: Marvel is proud to unveil a completely remastered "X-Men Forever" Door Poster by Jim Lee, celebrating the hotly anticipated release of X-Men Forever #1. This is your chance to own one of the most iconic images in X-Men history like you've never seen it before! On-Sale — 6/24/09. Pretty cool, huh?

Speaking of X-Men Forever, Claremont talks a little bit about Psylocke in the upcoming series in a interview with ComicMix:

Claremont: "Everything that relates to the X-Men specifically has not happened. The origins of characters that were established after I left are not necessarily the origins that we will encounter here. For example, the reality in this book is that Sabretooth and Wolverine are father and son. Betsy Braddock has not been transferred into a cloned dead Asian body."

In case you may not know, Claremont absolutey despises the Revanche retcon. He originally planned for Psylocke to be turned into an Asian woman through magic and plastic surgery.
