Civil War II: X-Men #4 Spoilers

Spoilers: In New Atillan, Rachel sends the Inhumans to sleep while Magneto makes his way towards Ulysses. Back in Manhattan, Storm’s team and Magneto’s team keep fighting each other: Storm vs. Archangel, Psylocke vs. Nightcrawler, Old Man Logan vs. Sabretooth, Magik vs. Monet and Gambit vs. Fantomex. Regardless of team choices, Kurt saves Storm and warns Betsy that Mystique is about to attack her as she tends to Warren. Back to Atillan, Magneto is alone with Ulysses. The inhuman tries to talk Magneto out of killing him and explains that this situation won’t turn out the way Erik thinks. Back to the X-Men, after more fighting with each other, Magik teleport Storm’s team to New Attilan to stop Magento. The Uncanny team then jump in E.V.A. and head to New Attilan as well hoping they gave Magneto enough time. Ulysses offers to show Magneto the short term future if things continue: both X-Men teams fighting and killing each other. In New Attilan, Rachel tells the X-Men to stand down as she has memory wiped all the guards of their intrusion and left Ulysses in the care of the Inhumans, while Magneto has seemingly left because what Ulyssed showed him changed his mind. Elsewhere, Magneto has words with Medusa and understands that she knew what Ulyssed would should him. Medusa says he’s not welcome there anymore and that he will be seen only as an enemy from now on, to which Erik agrees. Nightcrawler then returns to Storm’s team, as well as Psylocke returns to the Savage Land with the Uncanny team. Betsy lashes out at Magneto and questions his approaches. Rachel warns them that she’s leaving, but Erik insists she be around as he’s not sure Betsy will be by his side for much longer.

Civil War II: X-Men #2 Spoilers

Spoilers: After the inhuman Ulysses predicts a Brood attack, Storm’s X-Men team up with Captain Marvel to counter-attack. Carol warns Ororo that Magneto will most likely come for Ulysses and asks her to keep an eye on him. At the Uncanny X-Men’s HQ in the Savage Land, Psylocke probes Nightcrawler’s mind and confirms his change of heart is genuine. Magneto sends Fantomex to New Atillan to spy on the Inhumans and find out their plans concerning Ulysses. Gambit surprises Fantomex and reveals he was sent by Storm to see that Magneto wouldn’t do anything reckless. Fantomex uses misdirection so they aren’t seen by Inhuman guards. Jean-Phillipe and Remy fight, and Gambit ends up overpowering Fantomex, calling Magik to take them away from New Atillan. Meanwhile, at the Savage Land, Sabretooth finds out Psylocke about to steal the Blackbird. Betsy explains she doesn’t agree with Erik’s actions, especially because he has sent Fantomex to do the dirty work. Creed says he doesn’t agree with Magneto’s plan either, but will deal with it in his own way, while Psylocke flees with the Blackbird. Magneto says Psylocke’s leaving is a loss, but that the world is full of psychics.

Civil War II: X-Men #1 Spoilers

Spoilers: At Dubai, a group of wealthy mutants confines themselves in a sealed chamber to prevent poisoning from the Terrigen Mist. Magneto and his X-Men break into the chamber and brings inside every other mutant in the city who was left behind. As the Terrigen Mist approaches, Prime Sentinels - humans outfitted with cyber technology - who were disguised as servants, reveal themselves and attack the mutants, also breaking the chamber’s windows. Magneto orders his team to take as many mutants out of the chamber as they can. While they’re at it, Storm’s team arrives and Ororo prevents the Mist from reaching the mutants. Both X-Men teams team up to take out every Sentinel. After the battle is over and Storm has successfully moved the T-cloud away from the land, Monet reveals that she picked up from Storm’s team’s thoughts that they had advance warning of what was going to happen and that the Inhumans helped them. Storm explains the Inhumans are not their enemies, but Magneto begs to differ as Inhumans have done nothing to prevent the Terrigen Mists from killing and sterilizing mutants. Psylocke reads Storm’s team’s minds and finds out that a new Inhuman called Ulysses has the power to profile the future and is being used to prevent tragedies around the world. The Inhumans knew Magneto’s team would die in Dubai and so, they warned Storm in advance. Jean prevents Betsy from reading their minds any further and both teams part ways. Later that night, at the Uncanny X-Men’s Savage Land HQ, Magneto argues that the Inhumans will use the power to see into the future against mutants when the time comes. Suddenly, Nightcrawler teleports into their HQ and tells Magneto that he thinks he’s right.

The X-Men Enter Civil War II

Marvel.com: As Cullen Bunn and Andrea Broccardo team up for CIVIL WAR II: X-MEN, the mutants inside find themselves at odds with one another! Magneto and Storm disagree completely over what to do with the future-foreseeing Inhuman Ulysses.

Magneto, none too pleased about the mutant-harming Terrigen clouds already menacing the Earth, finds this new development untenable and decides to do something about it. Though he currently leads the Uncanny X-Men and Storm the Extraordinary team, the members of each squad just might disagree on where they fall on the issue.

Creatively, though, Broccardo finds himself in a great situation, drawing a book filled with huge action scenes, scores of characters, and two groups with very different looks.

Artist Andrea Broccardo provides a first look at the mutants' foray into the big event!
