New Covers Featuring Psylocke

Milo Manara Psylocke cover not specified to which book. Find out on monday! Also, the Uncanny X-Force #35 Final Issue variant cover by Simone Bianchi.

New Psylocke Ongoing Series?

On his NOW! column on Diamond's retailer website this week, Marvel Comics Senior Vice President of Sales David Gabriel said Milo Manara will be doing a Marvel NOW! cover that heavily features Psylocke, with her name in italics in the interview like it's the title of a book, suggesting the mutant ninja will be getting her own ongoing series as part of Marvel NOW!.

When reached by Newsarama for comment on Psylocke, a Marvel Comics representative had merely this to tease: "Stay tuned for some big news regarding Psylocke on Monday!"

Marvel responded to CBR after this article went to press, saying, "Stay tuned for some x-citing Marvel news on Monday that'll make Psylocke fans very happy."

X-Men #35 Spoilers

Spoilers from : Fighter jets have started to circle the cult's headquarters, while Storm receives word of a potential missile strike by the U.S. military. Pixie is dispatched to deal with the projectiles, as stealth-mode Domino infiltrates the enemy's defences. Betsy reveals the presence of the X-Men to the cult leader, sending the paranoid zealot over the edge; with Psylocke held at gunpoint, he drinks the proto-mutant DNA. Domino has the cultist caught in her cross-hairs, but Psylocke insists that X-Men do not kill. Colossus suggests that Psylocke capture some of the maniac's DNA, but the leader of the Heavenly Path begins to change, mutating in real-time. Taking advantage of his weakened state, Psylocke renders the cultist unconscious. Domino arrives to rescue Betsy from the oncoming security forces just in time. Meanwhile, with their impact dangerously close, Pixie teleports the missiles to the arctic. Psylocke and Domino argue over whether the remaining DNA ought to be captured or destroyed. Like Colossus, Domino believes it's in their interest to remove all trace of the proto-mutants. Psylocke however sees medical potential in salvaging a sample for themselves. Ultimately Domino concedes. Storm calls Sabra, asking her to extend the search for the remaining proto-mutant DNA. Although a sample has been recovered, something doesn't quite feel right to her. Domino sneaks into Colossus's cabin.

Marvel Vs Capcom: Origins Tribute

"Marvel vs. Capcom Origins" brings together two of the '90s most popular arcade games: "Marvel Super Heroes" and "Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes," and will be available on Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 and the PlayStation Network this September.

What is Braddock Academy?

Marvel has announced a new title part of their Marvel NOW! line. Titled "Avengers Arena". Written by Dennis Hopeless with art by Kev Walker. "Braddock Academy" is mentioned in an interview over on Marvel.com about the newly announced title.

Marvel.com: There are 16 participants fighting for their lives on this island. Any familiar faces? Any particularly unfamiliar faces?

Bill Rosemann: A fun mix of both. Fans of AVENGERS ACADEMY will hopefully be excited by the next chapter in the lives of Hazmat, Mettle, Reptil, Juston and his Sentinel and X-23. Speaking of schools, who are the Braddock Academy? After his last appearances in War of Kings and NOVA, Darkhawk soars again! Staying with sci-fi, just wait until you see what Dennis and Kev have planned for Annihilation’s Cammi, baddest girl in all the galaxy. And last but certainly not least, direct from the pages of the dearly missed RUNAWAYS, we have Chase and Nico!

Dennis Hopeless: We really got to cherry pick our cast. That was a lot of fun, almost as much fun as creating the brand new characters. I have a feeling the Braddock Academy kids in particular are going to break some hearts. Not sure if we made it clear yet, but people die in this book.

Uncanny X-Force #31 Art

Uncanny X-Force #31 Spoilers

Spoilers: Three hours from now: Wolverine holds somebody’s dead body. Kid Apocalypse tells him this was the only way it could have ended.

Now: X-Force returns to the present. Deathlok warns them about the Brotherhood taking Evan to Genosha. Beast contacts Logan and blames X-Force if anything happens to Evan. Meanwhile, Mystique and Sabretooth talk about their next move. After Evan cracks and kills Logan, Mystique wants to use the boy to kill the Shadow King for what he did to Destiny in the past. Daken and the Skinless Man try to induce Evan to wear an Apocalypse suit and get revenge against everyone who manipulated him. Sabretooth also manipulates Daken into hating Wolverine even further. Psylocke mentally tricks Mystique and finds out the Brotherhood’s plans for Evan. Logan is convinced Evan won’t crack, while Nightcrawler thinks they should kill the boy. Psylocke doesn’t want to kill Evan either. She also calls Wolverine out on his hypocrisy as he doesn’t want to kill Daken because he is his son, while she had to kill her own brother and lover. In the midst of it all, Deadpool goes by himself after Evan and is ready to kill him.

X-Position: X-Editors

CBR: Joining us for some fun are Senior Editor and X-Men Group Editor Nick Lowe, along with editors Daniel Ketchum, Jordan D. White and Jeanine Schaefer. Let's quickly get started before they leap away…

How is Husk dealing with Angel's new identity? We haven't really seen them interact for a while, and I, for one, loved their relationship. And on the topic of Angel, what will Psylocke's reaction be when she sees the young Angel that comes from the past post-AvX?

Nick Lowe: Husk isn't really dealing very well with anything, frankly. She's not in the best shape mentally or physically right now, so Angel hasn't weighed too heavily on her mind. As for Psylocke, I'd imagine she'll react much like any adult would if a time-traveling version of someone you love showed up. Here's my summation: "Ah! That's weird. He looks so young! What's going on here? I think I'm going to peace out and go get a cup of coffee and collect my thoughts."
