The Story:
The final countdown for... a Man Called X!
It’s Xavier and Psylocke versus Proteus! In a battle for reality itself, which of these super-powered psychics will win? And when the dust settles, what’s next for the Astonishing X-men?
In Stores: June 6, 2018
I like this actually ! Showing that Psylocke can remain standing against the Shadow King which makes sense ! She's the one who stopped him before and she'll do it again. I know this'll end the Shadow King somehow so I am glad the ninja with an addict to kill and hasn't been in many comics and arts since Uncanny X-Men 2016 gets to end this ! Her art is also cool in this one !
ReplyDeleteThe art in this issue was a mess to me but mostly appreciated too. I like her art here and in issue 3 when Shadow King was trying to get Logan.
Yeey you go Bett's !!!
ReplyDeleteMarvel promised only the best artists drawing Astonishing X-men.
ReplyDeleteSo disappointing this shit art on the climax of the story.
Psyloco,
ReplyDeleteLOL! Based on that Todd Nauck post below, I want him! Sort of reminds me of Art Adams!
I personally think the art looks amazing. It reminds me of the late 90s art which I LOVE.
ReplyDeleteWho from the 90s artists do you think cover art looks like? It look lazy like Rob Liefield so I see what you mean.
DeleteLooks good to a degree. But Love Psylocke finally getting some props.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, I would have figured Psylocke to know more about Farouk than Xavier.
ReplyDeleteLand's cover art makes me laugh and then sigh. Dude just keeps getting worse somehow.
Thanks to that, I can better appreciate the interior work. It's good.
Shadow King reminds me of Mojo.
When he is defeated his body will be wisked away by Spiral.
I miss the Rick Remender uncanny x force days, when he gave Bet's a heart beat reminder of who he is/was and the potential she really has.
ReplyDeleteYup like that giant butterfly she used on dark angel.
DeleteX-Position - Alilotron used their indomitable will to ask, “With her time in Astonishing X-Men coming to an end, can we expect to see Psylocke on a new team or book soon?” Dementia5, asked “[Marvel Editor-in-Chief] C.B. [Cebulski] has stated on Twitter that Jubilee will have a role in the X-titles going forward. I know you can’t spill on where and when, as that’s too spoilery, but could you at least give a cryptic hint?” Finally, Wind Rider asks, “With Jean and Kitty getting some time in the leadership seat are there any upcoming plans for a new and more critical role for Storm in the X-Verse?”
ReplyDeleteWhite: All three are in Mystery in Madripoor… and an upcoming as-yet-unannounced book!
