Not a soul said they would hang with Betsy Rachel when asked which couples they would hang with. Can't blame them no one likes being around that couple that can't keep their hands off each other.
I'm sorry, but Rachel's look is horrendous. She along with Storm and Rogue totally rocked those punk looks in the eighties and still looked like women; whereas you can definitely see where they're going with this with that artwork.
@Randy Not always, she looked marvelous in that outfit: https://uncannyxmen.net/sites/default/files/images/characters/rachelsummers/rachelsummers-costumelarge08.jpg
As usual though, good costumes only last about 4 to 5 issues.
@Randy, maybe someone should write an issue where Monet gets her together once again. She dropped the trench coat due to M's shade over it. Not that the underlying look was much better.
Rachel is a tragic character on quite a few fronts (both intentional and unintentional).
@Rahsaan Yeah, that was the original version of that costume IIRC, but I picked the one from the Kingbreaker mini, because of the spiky details on the sleeves, shoulders and neckline which are characteristic of Rachel's original looks in UXM and Excalibur. Both fashionable and practical when in combat mode.

ReplyDeleteLike Rach did with Franklin in the 80s

ReplyDeleteRachel's secondary mutation is the ability to always look like ass. What a downgrade for Betsy smh

Okay we can give her one good look lol I do miss when her TP signature was the little Phoenix over her left eye.
Delete@Poetry, I thought this variation without the full sleeves and yellow torso was even better and looked punk to boot:
