Captain Carter is back, and now the whole world knows it! Reeling
from her new celebrity status, Peggy teams up with S.T.R.I.K.E. to
investigate the sudden resurgence of Hydra, but something doesn’t feel quite
right. Can Peggy trust what she’s being told, or is someone trying to use her
as a high-profile pawn in a game she doesn’t yet understand? On Sale: April 13, 2022 Jamie McKelvie has confirmed via Twitter that he has personally designed the costume for Alternate Betsy. |
Psylocke, Captain Britain, Betsy Braddock, X-Men, Excalibur, Marvel Comics, Spoilers, Art, News.
This story is an alternate timeline, right? Peggy Carter isn't Captain Carter in the main Marvel universe, is she?
ReplyDeleteHopefully the casual audience won't mistake her as the actual Captain Britain whenever Betsy gets introduced as Captain Britain in a film, TV show, video game, animated series or whatever.
Fears aside, this is a nice cover. Betsy (...well, ALT-Betsy) looks cool dressed as a police officer.
Why does Betsy have green eyes?
ReplyDeleteBecause editorial is lazy
DeleteMagenta hair and green eyes 🙄
ReplyDelete@Randybear & @Benjamin but her eyebrows are purple. Smh lol.
DeleteCan't have it all. I'm game Marvel remembers Betsy is agent of Strike and totally spy. Diana Rigg style for the versed.

ReplyDeletePinkish magenta hair and green eyes. Yeah Marvel is color blind.
ReplyDeleteLast ditch effort Betsy has purple hair not the kinda dark dark purple see lavender and violet. Oh she got blue eyes you're undecided if she got purple camera eyes or birth blue.
Or technically now they are purple, but if the variant isn't a Betsy that remade her body, then they should be blue lol. Either way not Green haha.
DeleteIts like they told the colorist its Betsy Braddock and they said "okay so pink hair and green eyes right?" And editorial was like "sure"
ReplyDeleteWhat gets me is if you zoom in, she still has purple eyebrows @randybear, but the actual hair on her head is wrong lol.
DeleteAlso why people praising the look so much? It's just tactical gear.
ReplyDeleteImagine people are very sick of Captain Britain Betsy they will take anything not Captain Britain. Me too Betsy looks cool in S.T.R.I.K.E I like the gun and pose.
ReplyDelete@randy, LMAO. Thank you for asking, because I was wondering the same thing and thought that perhaps I was being a hater.
ReplyDeleteRight? Its not bad but its a very generic look. Ill still be reading the book though 😁
Delete@Tobias, salient point. It's like that time when she wore a diving suit in one issue during the Utopia due to the mission and everyone got super excited as it was a change from the Hand uniform. LOL!
ReplyDelete@Rahsaan I loved that time. It's time to give the diving suit to Kwannon.
ReplyDeleteThe Captain Britain name isn't for Betsy and I accept she found her identity and place she got her butterfly to mark it.
Psylocke is mistaken to be the hand uni not the person wearing it. Kwannon is captured in something she didn't ask to be. I support the diving suit for her more than ever.
