ReplyDeleteWith such huge telepathy, shouldn't Nate be able to realize the X-Men weren't really dead? Then again, judging from the last panel, maybe their survival doesn't make a huge difference to his plans.

Hope shows up in the Cable memorial book as a main character ....it is Rachel who was again forgotten as she was not in preview

ReplyDeleteHated Neal lol. I remember when she dressed up because it "pleased him" ugh haha. At least Warren gave up some of his soul to save her. Probably the cause of a lot of his later troubles lol. I'd love if Warren became like he was when he was there for Betsy during the whole Kwannon arriving saga. He was edgier then. He seems lost these past years.

Honestly I do feel they got a lot in common even though Cyc got a big weakness for telepathys aka Jean (who i feel really love each other) but there are others I can see being with Betsy other then Warren maybe Blade LMAO or anyone who is British... kinda miss Thunderbird III (Neal).

ReplyDeleteI like her being free and getting it on with whoever she wants. She did have sex with wolverine. It was revealed in that issue after she died and wolvie was remembering her badass days. It's the one issue where shes popping a squat and the art is this really pretty watercolor style. Anyone remember that? I wish they would explore why she doesn't like Alex, she probably read his mind or gleaned some thought and shes like this guy is an ahole lol. I cam imagine some telepaths being really jaded towards some ppl.

Delete@Unknown She did Not had sex with Wolverine in Marvel's regular continuity, the issue you say was XMen Unlimited an issue right after she died, Logan was rememberind her with respect and never said anything about having sex with her. The only issue where they have sex is in a Ronnin Special and that was another alternate reality where she was a geisha.but that wasnt our XMEN regular continuity.

What kind of message do you think Psylocke wanted to convey to Neil, who was excited to talk to an attractive and intellectual person?

ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of talk on this thread about who Psylocke should be with. I feel like we wouldn't be having this conversation if she was a man.
Psylocke is a highly independent and grounded character. So it never made sense why she keeps getting pushed with Archangel, who goes back and forth between free spirit and disconnected.
I feel like Psylocke should be with a badass female who understands her. This is of course based on Asian Psylocke who had edge and not the current version :p
@ Rahsaan, you can't really see tone of voice on here, but I hope my past two or three messages communicated some degree of playfulness.

ReplyDelete@Unknown, maybe that actor can play Psylocke when MCU reimagines. Also, after seeing the new Spider-Verse film last week and how well it was done, I'm starting to think that most if not all comic book films (including the X-Men) should be animated to avoid bad special effects, poor casting, etc. This latest Spidey flick was much more enjoyable to me due to having none of those problems as a completely animated film.

DeleteActually, she was an oiran in that story, not a geisha. That's very different.
ReplyDeleteShe did become Wolverine's lover in an alternate FUTURE shown in Remender's Uncanny X-Force, but that future will probably never happen. And yeah, in the X-Men Unlimited story, Logan was just retelling to the reader a story Psylocke told him one time when they were drinking together.

As for the "who should be with Betsy?", well, a good writer can make any pair of characters work (for instance, Remender made Betsy and Fantomex work, Hopeless made Domino and Colossus work, and so on), so as long as she's well-written, I'm okay with whoever she dates or if she decides to remain single. I did like her interactions with Nightcrawler in Claremont's Reload run, and Kurt's currently looking great with his facial hair, but they're so nice as good friends that it may be risky to turn them into lovers...
