Wow will the mutant u don't expect the first Thunderbird or Sage or Maggot??
ReplyDeleteOh, Triage will be in UXM as well? Cool, he definitely has a useful power (and although Bendis didn't do a great job with the X-Men, the new characters he created are interesting - well, except for Matthew Malloy, but he's already dead anyway...).
ReplyDeleteAs for the unexpected member, there are so many possibilities... Neal Sharra (a.k.a. Thunderbird III even though he had nothing to do with I and II, a.k.a. Betsy's worst boyfriend ever)? Lifeguard? Slipstream? Trance? Match? Hope Summers?...
...ForgetMeNot? Please, let it be ForgetMeNot! Despite his name, he's a character that should NEVER, EVER be forgotten!
Perhaps, the mutant is the randomly obscure Billy Briggs? Haha. I actually used to love the second stories in X-Men Classics: http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix/briggsbilly.htm
ReplyDeleteArchangel?
ReplyDeleteArchangel was shown in the cover for UXM #2, wasn't he? And he was already confirmed before the book was even released, so it would be weird to announce him as "an X-Man you thought you'd never see again"...
ReplyDeleteI really hope it's ForgetMeNot, but unfortunately I also know that he probably doesn't have any chance.
Kwannon? She'd fit the whole "deadly" theme.
ReplyDeleteWow Kwannon would really match the unexpectancy!!
ReplyDeleteForgetmenot would also be amazing!!
Kwannon would cause quite a stir among readers.

ReplyDeleteKwannon in which body?
ReplyDeleteKwannon in her own body would be awesome. But If we can get both on a team, and Kwannon can be her own character and woman, I'd be elated.
ReplyDeleteAlso hopefully a way to fix the mess of the body swap.
I'm not a fan of the Kwannon/body swap stuff in general (that original storyline was horribly written), but it would be nice to see the character finally redeemed and used as more than a Psylocke plot device.
ReplyDeleteWould be so awesome that Kwannon did get her own character development. That would please me so much and her and Betsy can be a very good team up.
