Marcus To Reveals Alternate Captain Britain Design

Marcus To revealed an additional design for Captain Britain. This is likely Betsy's Otherworld look as seen in previous preview pages for Excalibur #2, sans helmet.
What do you all think?

  1. She looks like recently knighted Ser Brienne of Tarth

  2. I had to google the name. Thanks to Marcus To we aren't stuck with Ser Brienne of Tarth.

  3. @Rahsaan,

Brienne was one of my favs on GoT so I like that Betsy is giving those vibes. If this goes well & stays it's like things will have finally come full circle for her. She always wanted to be a warrior/knight to protect others & she's finally got that wish. Even if it take twenty something odd years for it to happen.

I will miss the pink/lavender X uniform though. White or Asian body, that was probably my favorite look outside of the black & white Uncanny suit.

Now I just gotta wait to hope Jean & Domino are done well over in X-Force. I hated Hickman's HoX/PoX take on Jean so I'm hoping she fare betters there.

    1. @Alex,

I adore Brienne, but am please Marcus with with the svelter armor. Elizabeth is much smaller than Brienne and does not need such a bulked up outfit.

    2. This look is seen in issue #2 previews. This is one of the "multiple looks" To mentioned a while back when we all thought he was meaning maybe the Asrar design would stick around.

  4. Not a bad design but I'm not a fan of a more masculine Betsy especially with Tini implying Betsy looks male in issue 1.

  7. I'm cray cray about the new layout! Smokin hot update. Mwah mwah 💋💋 Luckystar!

(Coulda shoved an Outback Betsy after Alan Davis pinksuit and an Age of X Betsy somewhere in the right.)

  8. @Kiki, yes! Two of her best uniforms! The site update is still exquisite without thank goodness LuckyStar omitted her Reload and New Exiles looks! 😂💜

By the way, y’all, this is gorgeous:

  9. @Rahsaan the blog update hit me like sugar rush! Lord the sweetness!

I find most Betsy suits classy minus (hold the phone) the cameltoe-clipper phase.

Betsy's most busty uniform was her Age of X. The Age of X puts the thongness to clammy shame.
In Age of X she took her knockers out for air like she didn't care wrapped in posh elegance.

  10. Oh the artwork! Say congrats to the artist of the ''Butterfly knight in the purple rain''.

I couldn't resist the Prince pun because of Apocalypse going by -!^%AAAAAA%^!=.

  11. Female artists like her are a gift to the industry. I feel dumb for snubbing the comic of Shuri. Have to get a copy ASAP.

Captain Brian is awful lot sexy. How can you resist his white Speedo tights and moose knuckle? Part of me wishes Betsy to return to Psylocke to gaze at the handsomeness of Brian as Captain Britain.

  12. I agree the slim armor is the best for Betsy. Carol Danvers fell victim to masculinization when Marvel decided she takes the Captain Marvel identity and costume.

Betsy is a different story because she was Captain Britain before and wore a very feminine Captain Britain costume that has appeared many times in flashbacks and was revisited in Uncanny X-Force.

Marcus To took the above history and information into account as he was in the process of creating Betsy's new Captain Britain costume. An artist can tell by looking at Betsy that she is a fashion conscious woman proud of her femininity.

  13. Artists keep pumping more and more art for Captain Betsy. Helps to make the new look known. I'm interested to see how different artists interpret the new Captain Britain.

Rachael Stott has drawn inspiration from anime with knights.
