Now @randy, I think you should be open... Not necessarily optimistic or pessimistic... Just cautiously open. I think this might work out to actually be fire. The scifi-fantasy of Excalibur along with the Krakoa initiative sounds like it might make this a fun ride. Like something that Image Comics would publish... a welcome change. :-)
Hey Randy, don't be sorry. It's gonna take a while for us to get used to this. We should just focus on how much panel time and development she's gonna get. I'm really excited to hear her voice again. She's been relegated to the sidelines for far too long.
My fear is that Betsy's character will be destroyed and rebuilt as someone I dont know anymore. I dont like Carol at all recently and she used to he one of my fave non XMen heroes and now SheHulk recently revamped to become this horrific new character totally devoid of what made them popular to begin with and these are AVENGERS characters... Tini Howard will he the one who sets the standard for who Betsy will be going forward and imma call it now she wont be anything we even remotely once knew. They're totally going to change Betsy and allow Kwannon to claim the time she had in her body. I don't think Marvel wants to ever acknowledge her time as a ninja.
As far as I know, Tini is a good writer, so I'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt. It1s a good thing Rogue, Gambit and Jubilee are around to reminds us that his is our Betsy. She has history with them. As for Kwannon, I'm not worried. With that title and that cast, her book is doomed for cancellation.
Kevin true I dont think Fallen Angel's will last long (realistically I dont think Exclaibur will either) but I dont see that stopping Marvel from shoehorning in Kwannon into XMen lore. Remember Cebulski LOVES ninja Psylocke so i can see he is doing his absolute best to preserve ninja Psylocke.
When Betsy lost Kwannons body everyone initially was shocked and worried about the Asian body but now that everything's settle so far its Betsy who has lost and was essentially "killed".
If Marcel wanted to create a completely new character they should have just killed Betsy and brought back Kwannon. Instead they kept Betsy and decided to reboot everything about her.
Seriously the helmet makes her look even more like a new Thor with the big red cape. Stand her next to Jane Foster when she was Thir and tell me they dont look very similar.
IMO they should have kept Betsy as a TP in the Asrar design with the Xmen.
Kwannon should wear the hand suit but with muted black and red colors and her hair black let her keep the TK and give her the crimson dawn and keep her in Wolverine or xforce titles.
Instead Betsy is being rebranded as Capdain Britan protector of Avalaon wearing a suit of armor and looking more "heroic" than any other Xman currently while Kwannon is already apparently besties with Wolverine. How much longer until its revealed Kwannon is also in a relationship with Warren?
And I think that Tini and Jonathan will ensure that Bets retains her persona. trust, it cannot be worse than when she was the silent and brooding ninja for like a year after Acts of Vengeance before she found her voice again.
Actually, I wouldn't want Warren near BOTH Betsy and Kwannon. For giggles I always wanted Betsy to see what its like being with Bishop or Logan (whenshe was still in the Asian body) but I know a few who wouldn't want that to happen so maybe Logan and Kwannon might just be fun. Since we got our British Betsy back hmmmmmm maybe Blade or some other British superhero.
@Psi Girl, yup. Alex wanted her bad, but was so messed up from his Lorna/Maddy shit. It’s time for them to re-explore if anyone recalls their tension. More on his side. Bets stayed cool, calm, and collected and loved unnerving him.

What if Neal Shaara reenters the romantic picture. Marvel and Hollywood are crazy about representation. Like Pokemon gotta catch 'em all to own every one of each race, shiny or simple, Neal is Indian so he is perfect. Karima stars in HOX so his time has come.
Even better let Betsy be polyamorous and have both Archangel and Neal. We never had open polyamorous thriples in comics before.
What if her helmet was a Psi helmet? She never explored her Captain Britain side fully, let's not forget she was also one, knowing that she was a white woman in an Asian body was cute for 1990-93 but in my personal opinion it was never 100% because I was like shes cool but there is this thing... I liked her in her outback days personally. I'm curious about Kwannon and will check out Fallen Angels.
I guess the flowers transform into the helmet or something.
