So now Land is copying other artists' work... has he finally ran out of porn images to trace?! That Lady Mandarin pose is (very poorly) lifted directly from UXF #8. Gobsmacked that Marvel let him away with this sort of thing. If he wasn't so lazy, he'd probably be really good.
@Toca do Carangueijo, I would advise you to check this link: http://uncannyxmen.net/characters/psylocke to get a broader vision of Betsy's background in order to understand about Lady Mandarin. It should be a fun read since you like Psylocke.
@Leo Polonia, I already know that Psylocke and Lady Mandarim are the same person and I am apologizing because I don't clarify this last post. Anyway, I want to know why Cullen Bunn (or would be Greg Land?) choose to use the image of Lady Mandarim in special instead any other. It is no makes any sense for me. (Is because Bo Han is mongolian?)
Actually, she often uses an armor when she is in a dangerous situation in the astral plane and the artists commonly draw this armor with the same design as Lady Mandarin's costume...
So basically, she defaults to the image of her brainwashed self in the astral plane. If I were here, my astral self would be the metalic, armored version I assumed to fight Horde in Uncanny Annual No. 11. Even if I had to make it Asian looking to fit my new phenotype. LOL. That's just me though. :-P I always try to avoid developing Stockholm Syndrome.
Lol... maybe she feels safer for it's the less human icy cold version of herself? Some sort of protection. Well, we can only speculate... she could go for her british armored version instead, though, that would be awesome as if her inner self remained the same.
“For so long, my life has been out of control. Chaos and serendipity, wrapped in insanity. I have suffered, I have lost. Not just my life, but my very soul, my self. But no more. Now I know who I am.” – Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Braddock, daughter of Otherworld, mutant, telepath, telekinetic, defender of the realm and, above all, X-Man.

If it had a point in UXM #13 than I don't understand absolutely nothing was Lady Mandarim. Why this character in particular?

Yup, since the Jim Lee days actually...
