Psylocke & Archangel Re-Connect In Uncanny X-Men #6 First Look

Newsarama: This April, the secrets of Archangel will be revealed as Magneto and his team prepare for war. Today, Marvel is pleased to present your first look inside UNCANNY X-MEN #6 - the start of the Uncanny X-Men’s foray into Apocalypse Wars! Writer Cullen Bunn and artist Ken Lashley take you on a mission to save the life of one of the founding X-Men!

Years ago when Archangel first met Apocalypse, he was transformed into the homicidal Horseman of Death. Now, years later, it appears he may be again returning to that form. Psylocke has discovered a vacant, drone-like Archangel in the guise of Death once more. Fearing the worst, that her once lover is under the control of Apocalypse – she and the rest of the Uncanny X-Men embark on a mission to save Archangel’s life. But what they are about to uncover is far more horrifying than they could have imagined…

The quest for Archangel begins this April as Apocalypse Wars comes to UNCANNY X-MEN #6!

Art reminds me of Ron Garney's Uncanny XForce issues

Agreed on the great art, but I'm kinda getting tired of the whole "my life revolves around Warren" with Psylocke. It's almost like the creative team can't figure her out, so they use another character to define her, making both characters less interesting. Betsy's like a lovesick puppy, and Warren is a mindless (literally) plot device. I wish they'd focus more on the stuff that makes her interesting like the fact that she's a trained assassin trying to be a good guy, her responsibilities as Magneto's second-in-command, the tension between her and Sabretooth. Come on people, this story has fuel! Light it up already!

Yeah, I'm over it. The whole "Psylocke saves Archangel from himself" thing is just tired at this point. They both have way more potential for development and many other unresolved plot lines that could be explored. But I agree that the art is superb.

Agreed, the whole Archangel thing should've ended after the Dark Angel Saga.

I wouldn't mind more Brian interaction as well. Does anyone know his current status??

I actually like Psylocke and Angel together...I just wish they'd stop rehashing the same storyline with the two of them. I'd like them to be together, but have different stuff going on and other important stuff in their life...just like any two people in a relationship. End this Apocalypse crap, let them be together, and then start using them to tell new stories.
