Secret Wars' "House of M" Series Announced

Newsarama: Marvel has announced via Hero Complex a new House of M series set in the midst of Secret Wars' Battleworld. This new series follows in the line of other Secret Wars associated series, using the What If? concept on a major event - in this case, What if the original House of M never ended?

Set in the Battleworld domain known as the Monarchy, this new House of M series is written by Dennis Hopeless and illustrated by long-time X-Men artist Kris Anka. Hopeless says the series fill focus mostly on the ruling family of Magneto, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Curiously, there's no mention if House of M will reflect recent continuity changes in Axis that retconned out the fact that Magneto is not in fact the father of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver.

In addition to Magneto, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, House of M will also reportedly feature Namor and, surprisingly, Fin Fang Foom. No firm date or month has been revealed for this new House of M series.

Psylocke was featured in the original teaser for House of M, however she's neither pictured in the cover, nor mentioned by Hopeless.

FOX Casting X-Men's Psylocke

Jeff Sneider announced ' a little scoop' and said Fox are casting for Psylocke in Apocalypse at 9:14

Omega Underground: Jeff Sneider from The Wrap has revealed on Meet The Movie Press that Fox and Bryan Singer are currently casting for the role of Psylocke in X-Men Apocalypse, but doesn’t mention names.

It’s another fan-favorite character not unlike Jubilee and Gambit that Fox is finally giving us, like Jubilee was given a bit of screentime as a villain X-Men The Last Stand, but was never really given a true adaptation. There’s some hope she could end-up more heroic with this version of the character.

There are plenty of ways Bryan Singer and Fox could go with casting Psylocke. We know that Moira MacTaggert is coming back and Elizabeth Braddock started in the Marvel comics as a British spy, and could be friendly with her C.I.A. counterpart maybe being an MI6 agent. Her mind wasn’t transferred into her iconic Japanese body and given awesome ninja training until later-on in the X-Men comics.

They could aim to hire either an English or Asian actress for the role. Introducing her would make a lot of sense with an X-Force script from Jeff Wadlow is likely being one of the next X-Men projects in the pipeline, Psylocke being the modern team leader of the group makes sense to include her in that film.

#tbt: Uncanny X-Men #456

#tbt: Uncanny X-Men Annual #456 – Inside the jet, Betsy sits cuffed into one of the seats. Although she is a prisoner, she understands the X-Men’s caution about her recent return from the dead. She understands that they cannot afford to take chances. Actually, she rather enjoys sitting in the plane, taking in the smell and feel of the Blackbird and the standard black and yellow uniform she is wearing. It’s all home to her. She rests and her mind wanders inward. (the Astral Plane) Betsy cries as she sees her mind come up before her like a grand Asian fortress crystalline and glowing. This does not surprise her. Clothed in a flowing silk robe (though she prefers armor), Betsy looks at her reflection in a fortress wall. She watches as the image changes from a Caucasian Betsy to an Asian Betsy. She is confused by the former face, but turns away when she sees her Asian reflection. She protests to herself that she knows who she is…but what has she become? She knows that something is not right. St. William’s Tower, a very British structure, rises suddenly in the midst of her Asian fortress. This was where she played as a child. Why has this part of her mind been gone for so long? Written by Chris Claremont and art by Alan Davis. Read full summary here.

M daydreams of her family; her mother telling her words of strenght and encouragement. In New Attilan, Medusa tells Jubilee that the Kree haven't run any experiments in Earth in thousands of years.
