Is the art getting worse or is it just me? Compare to issue #1.

It's not just you.

Generally I like the idea, except for stupid *&@* that writers use to unexplainably bypass telepathy. How do you sneak up behind a telepath, and a stealthy telepathic ninja no less? Also, when did Spiral become Peter Parker the amazing Spiderman?

I really wanted to FLOVE this book, but so far it officially sucks balls... and not in the hot, good way.

And the blotted-out curse words bug me.

I don't hate it but it's not my favorite. I think once we learn what has happened in the 6 month gap I will be cool with everything... I just hope the book survives long enough for that to happen. o_O

I don't hate it either - I actually really liked the second issue. (I thought the first issue was pretty bad.) I like the blackened out curse words. I swear a ton so it actually sounds more like natural dialogue to me, lol.

It's a bit of a stretch, though. I'm sure there are sides to the characters that we haven't seen before, but Spiral is way too comfortable being a mommy to this girl for it to be believable. A protector with a maternal instinct, yes - that would work. But she's all, "Not without my precious darling GINNYYYYY!!!" Um, okay. Right.

Then Puck is like, "Spiral, get us out of here." Wait a sec, did she already join the team? Did she sign a contract while Bishop was shooting energy at them? They just attacked the *&@% out of her. Also, just because she has eight limbs doesn't mean she has spider powers all of a sudden. She's a bit too at home clinging to the top of the subway car.

And Storm's, Wait a sec, this makes no sense. (head scratch, surprise eyebrows) Bishop was right in front of us. Where could he be?

Let me guess - right behind you?? (rolls eyes)

I'm really enjoying it, but I am holding out for everything to be explained. For instance, there has to be something more to this Mommy Spiral thing with Ginny. Once that, what happened in the gap is cleared up, things will be smoother, for sure.

At least I hope.

Oh, I forgot that Spiral can fly. So she's just hugging the ceiling, not gluing herself to it.
